About the role

Mission:

To ensure the design of mechanical solutions and proper management to guarantee project objectives in the technical area, efficiently maintaining MA criteria.

What you'll do

Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the Team Leader, responsible for:

·         Preparing, together with the client, the detailed load specification for the installation.

·         Leading the mechanical design team (designers and draftsmen) defined by the Team Leader.

·         Directing, supervising and validating mechanical design work contracted to external companies.

·         Providing technical support to the Assembly team responsible for commissioning at Mondragon Assembly and for start-up at client workshops.

·         Coordinating the consistency of the mechanical and electrical design together with the Lead Electronics Technician.

·         Carrying out the final assessment of the project and its documentation with a view to defining future standards and seeking process improvements.

Responsible for the mechanical design of the installation in terms of technical, schedule and cost aspects. To this end:

·         In collaboration with the client, defines the detailed aspects not covered in the quotation that must be respected in the mechanical design of the installation.

·         Leads the internal and external mechanical design team, validating the technical solutions adopted and the equipment and components to be used.

·         Directs the preparation of technical specifications for equipment to be purchased.

·         Verifies the consistency of designs produced by the various designers.

·         Presents and defends the designs produced by the various designers before the client.

·         Presents and defends the designs produced before the client to obtain their approval and is responsible for incorporating the agreed modifications.

·         Directs the preparation of the technical documentation for the installation: purchasing information, instruction manual for the client, etc.
