Mechanical Design Lead

To ensure the design of mechanical solutions and proper management to guarantee project objectives in the technical area, efficiently maintaining MA criteria.

Reporting directly to the Team Leader, responsible for:

· Elaborate the detailed Installation Load Specification together with the client.

· Lead the mechanical design team (Designers and Drafters) defined by the Team Leader.

· Direct, supervise, and validate the mechanical design tasks contracted to external companies.

· Provide technical coverage to the team of Assemblers in charge of the Setup at Mondragon Assembly and the commissioning at the client's workshops.

· Coordinate the coherence of the mechanical and electrical design together with the Responsible Electronics Technician.

· Perform the final assessment of the project and its documentation regarding the definition of future standards and the search for process improvements.

Responsible for the mechanical design of the installation in terms of technical, schedule and cost aspects. To this end:

· In collaboration with the client, define the detailed aspects not contemplated in the offer that must be respected in the mechanical design of the installation.

· Lead the internal and external mechanical design team, validating the technical solutions adopted and the equipment and components to be used.

· Lead the preparation of the technical specifications for the equipment to be purchased.

· Verify the homogeneity of the designs carried out by the different designers.

· Present and defend before the client the designs carried out by the different designers.

· Present and defend before the client the designs carried out to obtain their approval and take responsibility for introducing the requested modifications.

· Lead the preparation of the technical documentation for the installation: information for purchasing, instruction manual for the client, etc.
