What we're looking for

Academic Qualification: Degree in Business Administration, Law, or a Double Degree in Business Administration and Law. A Master's in Taxation or Tax Law is essential.

Minimum of 4-5 years of experience as a tax specialist, specifically trained in Corporate Income Tax, in multinational environments (renowned law firms or companies) or tax consulting firms (big4)
Solid knowledge of national and international taxation is required
Knowledge of international taxation (mainly Portuguese)
Proficiency in tax portals
Proficiency in computer systems: Office package - High

Nice to have

Experience in energy companies or advisory in firms or consultancies on energy-related projects
It will be positively valued if the candidate speaks Portuguese
SAP and AI tax tools
Knowledge of accounting.

What you'll do

Mission: To ensure tax regulatory compliance, plan and optimize the tax burden, and manage the tax risks of the companies within the Naturgy Group's commercial business.

Specific functions and tasks

Tax Management: Supervise and review direct and indirect tax settlements (mainly VAT, CIT -including installment payments and CIT self-assessments-, IEE, IEH, IAE and public domain occupation tax for the companies of the Commercial business and branches in Portugal).
Compliance: Guarantee compliance with tax obligations according to local and international regulations.
Reports and Reporting: Prepare tax reports for management.
Inspections: Manage and defend tax inspections before the tax authorities.
Advisory: Provide tax support to the different departments of the companies within the Naturgy Group's Commercial business.
Analyze the feasibility and seek the optimization of restructuring operations carried out in the Commercial business.
