Nice to have

  • We value 2 years of experience in pharmacy field sales or other field commercial experience.

The role

The person occupying the position of Medical and Pharma Mixed Delegate must combine both responsibilities, generating both recommendation and prescription among healthcare professionals as well as effective sales in pharmacies within their territory.

As a Medical Delegate, you will be responsible for driving, in alignment with regulations and ethical compliance, the recommendation, advocacy, and prescription of our products through the transmission of scientific and ethical information. You must reinforce the role and image of Nestlé Infant and Maternal Nutrition products during the first 1,000 days of life, working with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and healthcare institutions (HCIs) within a specific territory.

The Medical Delegate is the main point of contact between Nestlé Infant Nutrition and healthcare professionals, situated at the center of the omnichannel interaction strategy. You must relate to healthcare professionals and institutions, deeply understanding their needs and their preferred interaction channels. Additionally, you will coordinate all available tools and content according to the individual preferences of each healthcare professional, with the aim of promoting our in-person and digital educational programs, responding to inquiries, providing advice and information, and fostering the recommendation, advocacy, and prescription of our products.

As a Pharma Delegate, you must generate sales and market share for Infant Nutrition in pharmacy and parapharmacy channels, developing and implementing territorial plans aligned with national and regional strategy.

What you'll do

  • Regulatory compliance (the foundation): ensure that all activities comply with Nestlé policies and with the implementation of the WHO Code.
  • Generation of recommendation and brand advocacy (the goal): promote the recommendation of Nestlé Infant and Maternal Nutrition products by offering high-quality information and services to all stakeholders: healthcare institutions, healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and medical associations. During medical visits, apply acquired competencies and integrate knowledge regarding Nestlé products, the competition, territory dynamics, and the healthcare professional's profile to build trusting, lasting, and mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Effective interaction with healthcare professionals (the what): master omnichannel interaction by understanding each professional's needs and leveraging all available channels. Coordinate personalized support and communication to offer the right content, at the right time, and through the right channel. Continuously improve the efficiency of interactions through the analysis of each channel's performance and the management of relevant KPIs.
  • Creation of action plans (the how): design and execute specific plans for the assigned territory in order to increase recommendation against the competition and gain market share. Consider the individual needs of each healthcare professional, different forms of interaction, and guidelines regarding master data management, agenda planning, visit frequency, coverage, surveys, and strategic information collection to support marketing and territory plans. Contribute especially to aspects related to hospital use, recommendation and advocacy by healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders, recommendation and prescription data, as well as the execution of scientific activities.

Pharmaceutical training and Nestlé Infant Nutrition representation

  • Support pharmacy staff through scientific training sessions that ensure adequate technical and commercial knowledge of the Infant Nutrition category, highlighting the competitive advantages of our products and services.
  • Collaborate with Medical Delegates and regional healthcare professional interaction managers to maximize the execution of territorial plans.
  • Represent Nestlé at local scientific events and in local pharmaceutical organizations (for example, Official Colleges of Pharmacists).
  • Monitor and report all relevant territory activity (Nestlé, competition, and the general market within and outside the Infant Nutrition category).
  • Involve pharmacies in our Optifarma program through proper commercial argumentation, ensuring an optimal assortment, implementing shelf organization, and negotiating point-of-sale (POP) actions, promotions, and digital activations.
  • Identify and capture new pharmacies with high potential, ensuring the management of the most relevant pharmacies in the territory.
  • Supervise the Order-to-Cash (O2C) process for direct or indirect orders, ensuring coordination between all key stakeholders (customer, customer service, B2B coordinator, wholesaler warehouses, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with the assigned budget.
