Sales Engineer

Iberia Region (Spain, Portugal, Italy & France)

We are seeking an ambitious, technically strong Sales Engineer to drive growth across the Iberia region, supporting some of Europe's most innovative OEM customers and helping them solve complex engineering challenges using Novanta technologies.

You will join our Robotics and Automation business, a global leader in motion control, force torque sensing and high-performance automation solutions. Our technologies help customers accelerate innovation in robotics, medical devices, semiconductor equipment and advanced automation systems.

The Role

Your Impact:

As Sales Engineer, you will own customer relationships throughout the entire sales lifecycle, from opportunity creation through to design-in, qualification and commercial success.

You will become a trusted advisor to customers and a key voice of the customer within Novanta.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

Identify and develop new OEM opportunities
Build strong pipelines across assigned territories
Generate sustainable revenue growth
Execute territory growth plans

Strategic Customer Management

Develop relationships with engineering, purchasing, programme management and executive stakeholders
Understand customer roadmaps and future technology requirements
Position Novanta solutions within strategic customer programmes
Manage long sales cycles and qualification projects

Technical Consultation

Translate customer requirements into technical solutions
Support design-in activities
Collaborate closely with engineering and product management teams
Deliver technical presentations and solution proposals

Commercial Leadership

Forecast accurately
Negotiate commercial agreements
Manage opportunities through Salesforce CRM
Drive bookings and revenue performance

Essential Experience

Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering
Technical sales experience within engineered products
Experience selling to OEM customers
Proven track record of winning new business
Strong customer engagement and commercial skills
CRM proficiency

Highly Desirable Experience
