Requirements

What we're looking for

Higher University Degree: Bachelor's or Master's in Industrial Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or equivalent technical degree.
Minimum technical experience: accredited professional experience in environmental inspection, control, or engineering services.
B driving license and availability for travel and field inspections.
Proficiency in drafting technical reports with administrative/legal validity.

Nice to have

Previous work experience in environments or entities under UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17020 (inspection) or 17025 (laboratories) standards.
Handling of Class 1 sound level meters, acoustic limiter analysis software, and telematic waste traceability platforms.
Knowledge of cartography or GIS tools for georeferencing control points.

The role

At OCA Global, a leading international group in inspection, testing, certification, and consultancy, we are looking for an Environmental Technician or Engineer to lead and execute technical assistance for environmental monitoring, control, and inspection for the Autonomous City of Melilla in the fields of Noise Pollution and Waste Inspection.

You will assume the primary technical interlocution with the Ministry of Environment, coordinating field inspections, performing acoustic measurements, auditing waste managers/producers, and drafting official technical minutes and reports.

What you'll do

Performing and evaluating outdoor and indoor immission acoustic measurements using integrating sound level meters and official calibrators.
Inspection of activities and establishments with music, and the downloading and analysis of acoustic limiters.
Evaluation of acoustic impact in public events and monitoring through environmental noise sensor networks.
On-site inspection and documentary control at treatment plants, production centers, waste transporters, and their vehicles.
Verification of compliance with Law 7/2022 (storage, segregation, labeling, and documentary traceability of transfers).
Field actions and inspections in response to complaints regarding discharges or poor waste management.
Preparation of technical inspection minutes and reports with photographic support, georeferencing, and editable tables.
Coordination of the work plan and direct interlocution with the Administration's Contract Management.
