What we're looking for

Higher Level Vocational Training in the scientific-technical branch or a university degree related to Environmental Sciences.
Valid B driver's license.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Availability to perform fieldwork and adapt to variable schedules according to testing needs.
Availability to undertake occasional travel.

Nice to have

Specific training in acoustics, noise pollution, or environmental measurements.
Previous experience in acoustic measurements, especially in the field.
Knowledge of acoustic testing in building and construction.
Experience in data processing and the preparation of technical reports.
Knowledge of technical procedures associated with laboratories or accredited entities.

The role

At SOCOTEC Spain, we are looking to hire an Acoustics and Environmental Measurements Technician for our team located in Montcada i Reixac.

We are looking for a person with a scientific-technical background and an interest in developing their professional career in the field of environmental acoustics and building testing. They will mainly participate in performing acoustic measurements in the field, the processing of results, and the preparation of associated technical documentation.

The position is open to junior profiles with related training and motivation to specialize in acoustics, as well as to professionals with previous experience in acoustic measurements and testing.

What you'll do

Perform acoustic measurements in the field, mainly in building projects and new constructions.
Participate in acoustic testing related to construction and compliance with applicable technical requirements.
Prepare equipment and coordinate the necessary requirements for the correct execution of measurements.
Perform data processing and the calculation of results obtained during testing.
Prepare and manage reports and technical documentation.
Coordinate the planning and execution of testing with clients.
Occasionally collaborate on acoustic consultancy work.
Apply established technical and quality procedures.
Collaborate with the team in providing acoustic services in different branches.

How you'll work

Location: Montcada i Reixac.
Variable schedule according to project needs, with office work and field measurements.
Possibility of performing measurements during afternoon hours and, occasionally, night shifts.
Possibility of occasional travel
