The role

What you'll do

  • Acquisition of new tools/machinery.
  • Maintenance of tooling and machinery.
  • Establishment of all relevant KPIs for the control of the tooling and machinery maintenance contract.
  • Timely execution of preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Lean implementation in all areas of the department.
  • Coordination with the Health and Safety department for the correct implementation of tooling in accordance with manufacturer instructions and applicable regulations and standards.
  • Assistance to internal and external audits relating to the acquisition, maintenance, and calibration of tools and equipment.
  • Coordination with the planning and engineering departments for the implementation of new and/or updated tools.
  • Project management with purchasing, finance, production, and engineering for the main tooling, machinery, and equipment implementation projects.
  • Business travel to visit suppliers for audits, project follow-up, etc.
  • Contact with suppliers and OEMs for tooling improvements, modifications, or resolution of doubts.
  • Follow-up with the affected areas to ensure that risks during the process are known and controlled.
  • Daily monitoring and control of the execution of the tooling maintenance contract.
  • Inventory process for discarded tools.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of preventive and corrective maintenance interventions, focused on improving their quality and durability.
  • Establish cost control for contracts, approving and/or contesting deviations if necessary.
  • Develop new ways of equipment maintenance, such as leasing, warranty extensions, etc.
  • Implement new procedures to optimize inventory with scheduled tasks.
  • Implementation and monitoring of new procedures for the complete tooling inventory.
  • Coordination with maintenance to reduce the TAT of out-of-service tools to ensure inventory tools are fully available.
  • Daily monitoring and control of compliance with the tooling calibration contract.
  • Study of BER repairs and handling and replacement of waste.
  • Define equipment calibration requirements and perform them within the appropriate timeframe.
  • Establish cost control of the contract, approving deviations if necessary.
  • Implement new procedures to optimize inventory with scheduled tasks.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing department.
  • Monitor and evaluate KPIs and penalties to suppliers.
