Radiology Nurse

What you'll do

  • Carry out the required administrative procedures for the management of patient admissions/discharges and the corresponding documentation, thereby facilitating the entire healthcare process.
  • Observe the patient's condition, maintaining a permanent state of alertness regarding changes in patients.
  • Collaborate in patient assistance, reception, and transport, always complying with medical and nursing instructions.
  • Obtain information regarding the patient's health status from diagnostic or interventional examinations that require nursing intervention.
  • Ensure the correct preparation of the patient who must undergo specific radiological examinations.
  • Collaborate in obtaining samples, as well as in their identification and handling following the established procedure.
  • Ensure the correct control of sample archiving, as well as the registration, preparation, and result.
  • Make the necessary notes in the patient's clinical history following the established procedure.
  • Verify that the clinical history and informed consent are duly completed.
  • Prepare and maintain the room properly before and after all procedures.
  • Instrument and cooperate with the physician during hemodynamic studies, load and control the administration of contrast from the infusion pump.
  • Know, record, and complete the database of the procedure performed, as well as the transfer of images and their storage.
  • Handling of fluoroscopy equipment.
