The role

What you'll do

Lead the integral design of special machinery from the conceptual phase to the creation of manufacturing drawings, with technical autonomy in decision-making.

Define the general architecture: layouts, operating sequences, cycle time calculations, and feasibility studies of technical alternatives.

Size and select mechanical components, transmissions, guiding systems, drives, pneumatic elements, and structures.

Design custom tooling, nests, grippers, and tools for robotic cells.

Apply design methodologies oriented toward manufacturing and assembly (DFM/DFA), integrating machine safety regulations from the very first sketch.

Coordinate technical development with the programming, pneumatics, and electrical areas, as well as participate in technical reviews with clients.

Manage project documentation (assembly drawings, exploded views, bills of materials/BOM) and provide workshop support during assembly and FAT/SAT testing.

Mentor and review the technical work of junior designers, fostering engineering best practices within the team.

Collaborate with the bidding area in the technical definition and estimation of hours for new projects.

Requirements

Technical training: Technical Engineering or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related).

Experience: 7 years in mechanical design roles, preferably in special machinery, automation, or capital goods.

Software: Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks / CATIA).

Skills: Analytical capacity, orientation toward detail and quality standards, initiative to propose improvements, and dexterity for collaborative work on complex technical projects.
