What we're looking for

Required:

• Degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in product engineering roles.

• Knowledge of plastic part design and manufacturing.

• Experience in CAD design with CATIA.

• Experience in the automotive sector as a Tier 1 or Tier 2 supplier.

• Experience in gathering requirements and negotiating with customers and/or suppliers.

• Fluent English, with conversational level for customer interactions.

• Availability to travel within Europe.

• Residency in Vallès Oriental or surrounding areas, or availability to work on-site in the area.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of plastic injection processes.

• Experience with visible parts with aesthetic requirements.

• Proficiency with PLM tools (ENOVIA, 3DEXPERIENCE, SmarTeam).

• Knowledge of automotive core tools: APQP, FMEA, PPAP, and control plan.

The role

BETWEEN Technology is hiring a Product Engineer (Plastic Part) for its Mobility & Transportation unit, within a product engineering project in the automotive sector. The role's mission is to lead the development of the part throughout its entire lifecycle, from the concept and design phase to prototyping and production launch, acting as the technical liaison with the customer and suppliers.

The selected candidate will join the product engineering team of an automotive Tier 1 supplier specialized in plastic parts, working cross-functionally with the processes, quality, and technical office departments.

What you'll do

• You will be responsible for the product concept and design phase.

• You will lead the prototyping and production launch phases.

• You will design and develop plastic parts using CATIA.

• You will act as the technical liaison with the customer and suppliers: gathering requirements and negotiating technical solutions.

• You will collaborate cross-functionally with processes, quality, and design engineers throughout product development and manufacturing.

• You will travel occasionally within Europe for project follow-up with the customer and suppliers.
