The role
As a Permits Coordinator, you are responsible for the independent management and streamlining of official permissions and files for large-scale network infrastructure works. You form the crucial link between public authorities, city and municipal governments, and internal project teams to ensure that all required documents are approved in a timely manner and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
What you'll do
File Management & Administration
Compiling, submitting, and monitoring permit applications for public works, excavation activities, and signage plans.
Carefully checking project files for completeness and compliance with formal requirements prior to submission.
Meticulously monitoring lead times from the initial submission through to the final decision.
Relationship Management & Communication
Acting as the first point of contact for local governments, inspections, and public authorities via email and telephone.
Building professional and sustainable working relationships with permit issuers and regional stakeholders.
Ensuring clear and representative coordination on behalf of the organization.
Digital systems
Working with specialized management software, geographic information systems (GIS), and smart digital analysis tools to structure project progress and ensure data quality.
What does this role offer you?
Practical expertise in public environmental law, administrative regulations, and civil procedures.
In-depth knowledge of stakeholder communication and project-based process management.
Experience with modern GIS applications and advanced administrative software within a sector offering ample growth opportunities in project management, network expansion, and operational planning.
Practical information & Conditions
Employment: Full-time position with a permanent contract after a successful onboarding period.
Education & Guidance: A structured multi-day onboarding program followed by continuous coaching by experienced colleagues.
Secondary benefits
Performance-based bonuses and commission opportunities.
Tax-free allowances (for, among other things, meals, public transport, or childcare).
Access to programs supporting mental and physical well-being.
Opportunities for professional and personal development (including language courses).
Requirements
Communicative & assertive: Excellent oral and written skills in Dutch to maintain professional and decisive contact with municipalities and official authorities. Good command of English.
Accurate & administratively strong: An eye for detail when checking, drafting, and following up on formal permit files and deadlines.
Solution- and process-oriented: Ability to maintain a good overview of ongoing applications and take proactive action in case of delays or bottlenecks.
Digitally skilled: Affinity with digital platforms, databases, and the willingness to learn to work quickly with GIS software and internal management tools.
Independent & collegial: Able to work in a structured manner both at home and in the office within a result-oriented team.
Education / experience: A secondary or bachelor's degree (or equivalent through experience in administration, customer contact, or file follow-up); specific experience with public works or permits is a plus, but not a requirement thanks to the internal training.
