We are looking to hire a Metering Technician to join the Dp. Medidas team at Red Eléctrica.
What you'll do
1. Apply and ensure compliance with the operating procedures of the metering system, guaranteeing the quality, reliability, homogeneity, and confidentiality required for the provision of the service.
2. Analyze, validate, and debug electrical measurement information received in the primary and secondary concentrators, to ensure its coherence, integrity, and suitability for the System Operator's processes.
3. Perform estimations and substitutions of measurements at boundary points, applying technical and regulatory criteria, in order to complete the set of data necessary for operation and settlement.
4. Manage the assignment, modification, and updating of metering points and boundary points in corporate systems, maintaining the technical and structural coherence of the information to guarantee the integrity of the metering system.
5. Supervise and coordinate the operation of the primary and secondary concentrators, including the review of incidents, the verification of communications, and the management of technical evolutions, to guarantee the availability and robustness of the metering system.
6. Disseminate and make measurement information available to market participants, official bodies, and internal units, guaranteeing its traceability, transparency, neutrality, and confidentiality according to regulations.
7. Liaise with internal and external agents to clarify measurement information and coordinate the necessary actions within the scope of their responsibility.
8. Participate in the development and improvement of systems and applications associated with the metering system, collaborating on specifications, testing, evolutions, and automations that increase the efficiency and quality of the process.
9. Consolidate and validate the energy measurements used in closing processes, analyzing inconsistencies, cross-checking information, and proposing estimations, in order to ensure that the data sent to Settlements are complete, coherent, and technically reliable.
10. Analyze and validate the technical definition, equipment, and location of new boundary and metering points, coordinating with the involved units, to ensure their correct configuration and initial integration into the metering system.
Requirements
- Degree in industrial engineering (Bachelor's and Master's), preferably with a specialty in electricity or energy. Similar or related degrees and specialties to the other requested requirements will be valued.
- Experience in the electricity sector, with at least 2 years (greater experience will be valued) in similar/equivalent functions or in the field of electricity system operation.
- Knowledge of databases, SQL, PowerBI.
- Knowledge of data analysis and exploitation, creation of dashboards.
- Knowledge of electrical diagrams.
- Valuable: knowledge of sector regulations, and in particular those relating to electrical measurements, self-consumption, generation, and access to the installation network.
- Valuable: English B2.
- Teamwork skills, communication with stakeholders, proactivity, and continuous improvement.
