Applicants must submit their application solely through the Renfe Group Employment Portal, https://empleo.renfe.com, by clicking on the "access application form" button located in the header and footer of the publication.

Participation fee payment

Applicants must pay a fee of fifteen euros (€15) as "participation rights", through the CaixaBank payment gateway, following the instructions specified in the application form on the Renfe Group Employment Portal, https://www.empleo.renfe.com, making as many payments as there are calls they apply to.

If the aforementioned payment has not been made, or if the amount paid is incorrect, the application will not be considered valid for the call for applications, and the candidate will therefore be excluded from the process.

The same procedure will apply to candidates who, having made the payment, have not formally submitted their application within the deadline and through the established channel.

Under no circumstances will the Renfe Group refund the participation fee for failure to obtain a position, failure to attend the selection tests, failure to meet or prove the requirements of the call for applications, applying to both calls for applications, or paying the fee without submitting the application on the Renfe Group Employment Portal.

The following shall be exempt from paying this fee:

  1. Persons with a disability degree equal to or greater than 33%, who must attach a certificate accrediting this condition to their application.
  2. Persons who have been registered as job seekers for at least one month prior to the date of
publication of the call for applications. Requirements for enjoying the exemption are that, during the relevant period, they have not rejected suitable job offers, nor refused to participate, without just cause, in job promotion, training, or professional retraining actions, and that they do not have monthly income exceeding the Interprofessional Minimum Wage. These circumstances must be justified by presenting the corresponding certificate issued by the State Public Employment Service.
  3. Large families as defined in Article 12.1.c) of Law 40/2003, of 18 November, on the Protection of Large Families. Members of large families in the special category shall be entitled to a 100% exemption from the fee, and those in the general category shall be entitled to a 50% reduction. The status of large family shall be accredited by presenting the corresponding updated official document.
  4. Victims of terrorism, understood as persons who have suffered physical or psychological harm as a result of terrorist activity and who accredit this status through a final court judgment or an administrative resolution recognizing such status, as well as their spouse or partner who has lived with them in an analogous relationship of affection, the spouse of the deceased, and the children of the injured and deceased.
  5. Victims of gender-based violence and their children shall be exempt from paying 100% of the participation fees. This situation shall be accredited by means of a court ruling, a report from the Public Prosecutor's Office, or any documentation recognized by current legislation on gender-based violence.

The payment of the examination fees or, where applicable, the justification of the concurrence of any of the causes for total or partial exemption therefrom, must be made within the application submission period. Otherwise, the applicant will be excluded from the process.

Under no circumstances shall the payment of the examination fee or the justification of the concurrence of any of the causes for total or partial exemption therefrom, replace the procedure of submitting, in a timely and proper manner, the application for participation in the selection process.

In the case of exemption from payment of the fee or a reduction thereof, the supporting documentation for the exemption or reduction must be attached.
