What we're looking for

Requirements:
- Education: Higher Level Training Cycle (CFGS) in Transport and Logistics, Foreign Trade, International Trade, or similar.
- Basic knowledge: minimum English level B2 and Microsoft Office.
- Specific knowledge: knowledge of GDP regulations, Team Management, Leadership, Lean Manufacturing.

- Experience: minimum 15 years in a similar position.

- Minimum ramp-up period: 4 to 6 months.

The role

What You Can Expect:

At Rhenus, we are looking for a new Operations Manager to join our team in El Prat de Llobregat (Barcelona).

Their mission is to support Management in defining and implementing processes, efficiency improvement plans, and internal information systems. To carry out management control and the implementation of the unit's strategy at an operational level.

The position involves overseeing approximately 50-70 people.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

- Optimize costs to achieve the best results.

- Coordinate and supervise operational departments.

- Supervise the results of individual and collective work.

- Plan, implement, and supervise the optimal development and execution of all daily activities and processes.

- Ensure a pleasant organizational culture and environment consistent with the organization's strategy.

- Develop internal and external procedures for productivity and efficiency improvement.

- Facilitate communication between departments, suppliers, and clients.

- Carry out the compliance of assigned controls and procedures regarding Compliance.

- Collect evidence of the effectiveness and compliance of assigned controls and procedures regarding Compliance.

Tasks

- Integrate all processes through the strategy defined by the company in a coordinated manner and with a common goal.

- Ensure operational development by knowing and facilitating the internal and external resources that may be necessary.

- Manage internal resources for their proper development, in coordination with the rest of the departments and branches.

- Plan, direct, and ensure an optimal strategic plan for the organization's resources to achieve the defined objectives.

- Develop strategies for process optimization and achieve maximum efficiency with minimum costs.

- Efficiently coordinate the distribution of resources and tasks.

- Monitor and control the product to identify strengths and weaknesses, allowing lean management strategies to be applied to meet objectives.

- Create analysis reports to examine operational performance.

- Ensure proper product management through automated monitoring processes.

- Increase productivity in line with the organization's internal processes.

- Apply assigned procedures and controls regarding Compliance.

- Periodically collect evidence of the compliance and effectiveness of assigned controls and procedures regarding Compliance.
