Health, Safety and Environment Technician

• Apply Group Policies: Occupational Health and Safety, Quality, Environment and Equal Opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with the Procedures, Guides and Work Instructions in force at all times, as well as any others published by the Company.
• Safeguard the Safety of all Plant Employees through compliance with the defined Procedures, IT's, etc.
• Maintain the Risk Assessment program in all workstations and in Plant jobs.
• Supervise safety tasks to ensure that the plant's safety system functions correctly.
• Maintain the Occupational Health and Safety Plan by encouraging the implementation of relevant corrective measures in departments and including new risks in the risk assessment process.
• He/she may be a member of the Health and Safety Committee.
• He/she may be part of the Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Management Committees.
• Carry out a daily inspection of the plant to observe that safety and environmental standards are met, as well as manufacturing best practices.
• Advocate for compliance with the management system or systems.
• Ensure that all Plant safety equipment is in a constant state of readiness and supervise its preventive maintenance. • Maintain records of all incidents or accidents related to health, safety or the environment.
• Lead the investigation of such incidents and monitor the implementation of appropriate corrective measures.
• Maintain files of all customer claims and internal quality non-compliances.
• Lead the investigation of any non-compliance and monitor the implementation of appropriate corrective measures.
• Advise management on the guidelines that will be issued regarding such matters.
• Participate in section meetings to improve the implementation of QSE policies.
• Participate in the preparation and execution of maintenance shutdowns, providing advice on Safety and Environmental Factors and relevant procedures to ensure compliance.
• Train people in job tasks as determined by management.
