Volunteering in Child and Adolescent Care Academic Year 26-27 (Alicante)

Save the Children's socio-educational projects are aimed at boys and girls from 0 to 18 years old who are at risk of social exclusion. The organisation believes that education is the best tool for breaking the hereditary cycle of poverty. For this reason, the projects aim to increase the abilities of boys and girls through formal and non-formal education processes.

Social action intervention staff, with the support of volunteer teams, provide an appropriate, quality educational support space for boys and girls. During the sessions, study techniques, homework, assignments, values education, etc. are covered.

If you would like to help out during this school year, you can sign up for this opportunity and we will contact those who have registered (around mid-September) to invite them to an information session where they can learn more about the organisation and its volunteering programme.

Volunteer duties:
- Support in educational reinforcement processes
- Support in socio-educational activities
- Support the contracted educational team in
planning and preparing activities.

Requirements and conditions:
- Be over 16 years old
- Preferably commit for the school year during AFTERNOON hours
- Be committed to children's rights
- Accept and comply with Save the Children's child protection policy.

- Have enthusiasm and motivation
- Negative certificate of sexual offences

- Complete the online onboarding training, as well as training in safeguarding policy and risk prevention.
- Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge
in education, leisure and free time, and management of social interventions.
- Unpaid volunteering

Upon completion of the volunteering, a certificate is offered
of volunteering with hours and duties performed, as well as recognition of experience / skills through the Reconoce platform.

• In September we will contact you for an information session.

• In October we will hold prior training, which is necessary so that you can join with confidence and learn more about our work with children.

• From November onwards, your volunteering experience will begin.

Los proyectos socioeducativos de Save the Children están dirigidos a niños y niñas de 0 a 18 años en situación de riesgo de exclusión social. Desde la organización creemos que la educación es la mejor herramienta para romper con el círculo hereditario de la pobreza. Por ello, los proyectos pretenden incrementar las capacidades de los niños y niñas a través de procesos de educación formal y no formal.

El personal de intervención de acción social, con el apoyo de equipos de voluntarios y voluntarias, brinda un espacio de apoyo educativo adecuado y de calidad para los niños y niñas. Durante la sesiones se trabajan técnicas de estudio, tareas, deberes, educación en valores...

Si tienes ganas de ayudar en este curso escolar, puedes inscribirte a esta oferta y nos pondremos en contacto ( a mediados de septiembre) con las personas inscritas para invitarlas a una sesión informativa en la que puedan conocer mejor la organización y su voluntariado.

Funciones del voluntariado:
- Apoyo en los procesos de refuerzo educativo
- Apoyo en las actividades socioeducativas
- Apoyo al equipo educativo contratado en la
planificación y preparación de actividades.

Requisito y condiciones:
- Tener más de 16 años
- Preferiblemente compromiso durante el curso escolar en horario de TARDE
- Estar comprometido con los derechos de la infancia
- Aceptar y cumplir la política de protección de infancia de Save the Children.

- Tener ganas y motivación
- Certificado negativo de delitos sexuales

- Realizar la formación online de acogida, así como una formación en política de salvaguarda y prevención de riesgos.
- Se priorizará aquellos candidatos con conocimientos
en educación, ocio y tiempo libre, y gestión de intervenciones sociales.
- Voluntariado no remunerado

Al finalizar el voluntariado se ofrece certificado
de voluntariado con horas y funciones realizadas, así como reconocimiento de la experiencia / competencias a través de la plataforma Reconoce.

• En septiembre os contactaremos para una sesión informativa.

• En octubre realizaremos una formación previa, necesaria para que podáis incorporaros con confianza y conocer mejor nuestro trabajo con la infancia.

• A partir de noviembre comenzará vuestra experiencia de voluntariado.
