Expert in Technical Support Assistance

At Schindler Iberia, we are looking to hire a person with a solid technical background and a passion for sharing knowledge to join our Technical Management team as an Expert in Technical Support Assistance.

You will be part of the Technical Assistance team, integrated into our Technical School, a key area that provides direct support to operations and contributes to the ongoing development of our field teams.

This is a high-impact role where you will combine solving complex problems with training and the technical development of our professionals.

Your mission will be to lead technical support and training activities, helping to resolve complex faults and enhancing the technical capabilities of our teams.

What you'll do

Main functions:

  • Provide telephone support for resolving complex faults (IE/NI/REP/MOD).
  • Intervene in the field to support the resolution of high-complexity technical incidents.
  • Design and develop technical training content.
  • Provide training to company technicians.
  • Create maneuvering simulators for use in training and remote support.
  • Develop and maintain reference technical documentation.

What do you need to succeed?

  • We are looking for a person with technical training in electricity, electronics, or IT (engineering is valued), with experience in the vertical transportation sector in technical areas—especially escalators—and with solid knowledge of both control systems and the operation of elevators and escalators.
  • Good communication and teaching skills are important, as well as the ability to work in a team and proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Power BI, Teams). An intermediate level of English and Portuguese will be valued.
  • This role is especially well suited if you have developed your career in roles such as Specialist Technician, Support Technician, Service Call Technician, Repair Technician (with experience in service calls), Qualison Technician, Technical Training, or CPSY Technician.
  • We are looking for a person willing to travel approximately 30% of the time, with a valid driver's license and preferably based in Zaragoza, although we will also consider applications from Madrid, Barcelona, Málaga, or other locations with excellent connectivity.
