Senior Field Microcomputing Technical Support

• Education:
  • Higher Vocational Training in IT Systems, or a university degree or technical qualification in related areas such as Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications or similar
• Languages:
  • Proficiency in the local language and a solid command of technical English.
• Technical Knowledge:
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows, Linux and macOS operating systems.
  • Experience in network administration, including TCP/IP protocols, VPNs, VLANs, and router and switch configurations.
  • Familiarity with virtualization environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Experience managing servers, storage and backup solutions.
  • Broad knowledge of installing, maintaining and repairing equipment and systems in outdoor environments.
• Skills:
  • Excellent problem-solving and technical diagnostic skills.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with both non-technical and technical staff.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 3-5 years in technical support and systems administration.

As a Senior Field Technician in Microcomputing you will be part of the User Field Support unit.

In the User Field Support area, we enhance labor productivity with user support services, support centers, and other solutions for a fluid and efficient working environment. This support can act proactively or reactively to solve problems, thereby ensuring business continuity.

Our IT field services team is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and supervision of products on-site for our clients.

You will be responsible for providing advanced technical support to our clients' users and systems, leading the resolution of complex incidents, managing IT infrastructure, and collaborating in the planning and execution of technological projects.

Other functions:

• Second-level IT support for clients and users, and resolution of complex problems and incidents.
• Management of software and hardware incidents, taking charge of receiving, diagnosing, solving, and forwarding the incident to another department for maintenance.
• Imaging Windows 10 computer equipment, PC migrations, user data, profiles, app data, software installation, and configuration.
• Email configuration.
• Carrying out technical procedures.
• Leading and supervising technical teams in installation, maintenance, and repair projects in the field. As well as, supervising and coordinating the activities of the junior technician team.
• Providing specialized technical advice and support to more junior technicians.
• Resolving complex technical problems and making critical decisions to ensure project success.
• Planning and coordinating team activities, ensuring compliance with deadlines and quality standards.
• Interacting with clients and collaborators to ensure effective communication and satisfy their needs.
• Staying up to date on the latest technologies and trends in the field to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
