The role

At Tecdata Engineering, we are looking for a Senior Middleware Technician - Kafka / Confluent!

Do you have experience administering and operating Apache Kafka / Confluent platforms in production environments? Are you interested in participating in the management and evolution of high-availability enterprise messaging platforms?

At Tecdata Engineering, we are looking to hire two Senior Middleware profiles specialized in Kafka / Confluent, to participate in the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of enterprise platforms.

What you'll do

  • Administration and operation of Apache Kafka / Confluent platforms in production environments.

  • Management of Topics, Producers, Consumers, Kafka Connect, and Connectors.

  • Administration and configuration of Schema Registry and kSQL/ksqlDB.

  • Platform monitoring, performance analysis, and resolution of complex incidents.

  • Advanced troubleshooting to guarantee the stability, availability, and performance of the service.

  • Security management, updates, maintenance, and changes on production platforms.

  • Technical support to Kafka consumer and producer teams.

  • Management of incidents, requests, and changes within an enterprise Kafka/Confluent service.

  • Identification of platform issues and proposal of improvements and automations.

How you'll work

  • Positions: 2 vacancies.

  • Modality: Remote.

  • Location: It is not essential to reside in Madrid or Barcelona. If you reside in either of these cities, the possibility of occasionally coming to the office to spend time with the team will be valued.

Availability is required to perform planned work outside of regular hours and to participate in an on-call service.
