What will your mission be? 🎯

You will be part of the Cyber Intelligence area, within the Global Cyber Defense Directorate of the Security Division. Your mission will be to identify, process, analyze, and disseminate cybersecurity intelligence to anticipate threats, strengthen Telefónica's defensive posture, and support strategic and operational decision-making.

You will contribute to the development and evolution of Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) capabilities, collaborating closely with SOC, CSIRT, Red Team, and risk management teams to detect emerging threats, prioritize risks, and improve the organization's resilience against the global threat landscape.

What you'll do

How will you contribute to the purpose of the role with your skills? 💼

  • You will design, improve, and govern cyber intelligence processes, identifying areas for improvement, information gaps, and strategies to expand capabilities that strengthen Telefónica's security posture.
  • You will lead the identification, collection, processing, analysis, and dissemination of intelligence from multiple sources (open, closed, and commercial), applying disciplines such as OSINT, HUMINT, and SIGINT, as well as structured analytical techniques to turn it into actionable intelligence.
  • You will provide intelligence in an agile, actionable, and discreet manner to support decision-making and the neutralization of emerging and current threats, both targeted and generic.
  • You will optimize and automate existing use cases, develop new high-impact capabilities, and integrate the intelligence generated into detection and security platforms and tools.
  • You will maintain an up-to-date understanding of the threat landscape, including TTPs, actors, campaigns, critical vulnerabilities, tools, and malware, assessing their potential impact and proposing mitigation measures in coordination with other Cyber Defense teams.
  • You will produce strategic, operational, and tactical intelligence products, including intelligence reports, threat reports, and indicators of compromise (IOCs), defining their lifecycle and ensuring their proper integration and use.
  • You will support the CSIRT, Red Team, and other cybersecurity teams in managing and resolving critical incidents, providing relevant intelligence and collaborating on the prioritization of vulnerabilities and risks.
  • You will coordinate with cross-functional teams, including SOC, incident response, risk management, and compliance, to align priorities, initiatives, and action plans.
  • You will define, supervise, and report performance, maturity, and quality metrics for Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) services and programs, developing continuous improvement roadmaps.
  • You will act as a technical reference and mentor for junior analysts, promoting knowledge sharing, collaboration across areas, a culture of continuous learning, ongoing improvement, and cyber resilience.
