About the role

As a VPS (Valeo Production System) Engineer at Valeo Martos, you will have the opportunity to work with the most powerful automotive manufacturers in the development of electronics, within an international and multicultural environment.

What you'll do

VPS Skills

  • Develop your own skills and abilities in tools and methodologies useful for the APU (Autonomous Production Unit).

  • Train APU members in VPS tools, standards, and methodologies, ensuring they are known and correctly applied.

VPS Strategies

  • Ensure that VPS rules are taken into account in new projects at the appropriate phase.

  • Help the APU Manager maintain a continuous improvement mindset, behavior, and policy, regardless of the operational situation.

  • Organize the annual VSA (Valeo Self-Assessment) across the entire APU and propose the list of annual workshops.

  • Help define the APU's VPS strategy and prepare the budget corresponding to VPS objectives.

  • Manage the deployment of the V5000 VPS standard within the APU: manage the self-assessment with unit members and the improvement action plan.

  • Deploy VPS standards and best practices within the APU.

Genba (on-site) Activities

  • Coach APU members in the application of VPS tools and methodologies through on-the-job training (OJT).

  • Permanently assist the APU Manager in detecting and reacting to non-conformities with VPS standards.

  • Manage the maintenance of VPS tools through appropriate audits (such as Kanban audits): organization, execution, and follow-up.

  • Prepare and organize the APU's weekly VPS committee (including the proposed agenda) led by the APU Manager, and draft the minutes.

  • Regularly and thoroughly monitor the correct deployment of the VPS pillar within the APU.

  • Support the APU's VPS workshop leaders in terms of methodology and achievement of results.

  • Permanently lead workshops and implement improvement proposals.
