You will help inform, raise awareness and advise both market stallholders and the public on waste prevention, reducing single-use plastics and adopting more sustainable practices, helping to build more responsible and environmentally friendly markets.

What you'll do

Carry out environmental information, awareness-raising and advisory actions aimed at market stallholders and the public in municipal markets, promoting waste prevention, the reduction of single-use plastics and the adoption of more sustainable consumption habits.

Main duties:

You will carry out your work in different municipal markets in

9 municipalities in the province of Barcelona

: Artés (Bages), Capellades (Anoia), Montmeló (Vallès Oriental), Calella (Maresme), Les Franqueses del Vallès (Vallès Oriental), Manlleu (Osona), Pineda de Mar (Maresme), Santa Perpètua de Mogoda (Vallès Occidental) and Vilassar de Mar (Maresme).

Permanent seasonal contract.

When will you start?

You will join the team on 25 September 2026 and finish on 10 October 2026.

What will your schedule be?

Part-time schedule: you will work 9 days over 2 weeks plus 1 training day, with working hours from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The times of the activities will be organised according to market opening hours, within the morning slot (8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.). In addition, the number of stalls in each market will be taken into account.

Environmental educator for educational and awareness-raising actions in municipal markets

Required education

  • Bachelor's degree, diploma, higher vocational training qualification or equivalent education in: Environmental Sciences, Environmental Education, Biology, Environmental Management, Social Education or related disciplines. 
  • Specific training in the following areas will be valued: waste prevention and management, circular economy, environmental education and communication, community engagement and citizen participation.
