The role

What you'll do

  • To inform and advise citizens and the various stakeholders involved on the production and conservation of healthy and sustainable food, promoting responsible practices and fostering more sustainable agri-food systems.
  • To drive and support sustainable agri-food projects, as well as initiatives related to urban gardens, community kitchens, and other actions linked to sustainable food production and use, ensuring their proper implementation and follow-up.
  • To design, lead, and deliver workshops, training activities, and awareness-raising actions aimed at different audiences, adapting content to the needs of each group.
  • To provide service users with attention and guidance, offering specialized information and technical support on matters related to sustainable agri-food systems.
  • To draft, review, and update protocols, educational materials, outreach resources, and training activities, ensuring technical rigor, content quality, and alignment with the latest trends and knowledge in the sector.
  • To collaborate with municipal services, social organizations, agri-food project promoters, and other stakeholders, fostering coordination and the development of joint initiatives linked to food sustainability.

Requirements

Education

  • A university degree in Sustainable Agri-Food Engineering, Agronomic Engineering, or related disciplines connected to sustainable agri-food systems, food production, and environmental sustainability.
  • Other university degrees related to organic farming, sustainable food, urban garden management, food waste prevention, food sovereignty, and the development of sustainable agri-food projects will also be valued.

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of the production and conservation of healthy and sustainable food.
  • Knowledge of sustainable agri-food systems, organic farming, and sustainable management of food resources.
  • Knowledge of initiatives related to urban gardens, community kitchens, and agri-food projects with social and environmental impact.
  • Knowledge of strategies for preventing and reducing food waste and the carbon footprint of food.
  • Ability to design, develop, and update training materials, outreach resources, and awareness-raising activities.
  • Proficiency in office software (Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace).

  • Minimum B1 level of Valencian, with a C1 level or higher being especially valued.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in similar roles related to sustainable agri-food systems, urban agriculture, garden management, environmental outreach, or the development of agri-food projects.
  • Experience in designing and delivering workshops, training sessions, and awareness-raising activities for different audiences.
  • Experience in providing attention and guidance to users and in supporting participatory projects or initiatives.
