Water Management and Technology Transfer Specialist for the Agri-food Sector

· Degree in Agricultural, Agrarian, or Agri-food Engineering, Agricultural Sciences, Forestry Engineering, or equivalent. Other related degrees (e.g., Biology) with relevant experience in agronomy, irrigation, water resources, or agri-food projects will also be considered.

· At least 5 years of experience performing functions similar to those described

· Knowledge of water and water resource management.

· Ability to interpret and analyze environmental data.

· Ability to organize field campaigns and collect technical information.

· Experience in R&D&i or innovation projects.

· Proficiency in QGIS, ArcGIS, or other GIS tools.

· English: upper B2 level.

· Practical experience in water resource management, irrigation, or precision agriculture.

· Knowledge of hydrology, water quality, or environmental modeling.

· Experience with environmental sensors, IoT, or remote sensing.

· Knowledge of Python, R, or other data analysis tools.

· Participation in European projects (Horizon Europe, PRIMA, LIFE, Interreg).

As a Water Management and Technology Transfer Specialist for the Agri-food Sector, you will design technological solutions oriented towards irrigation management, analyzing data from soil, crop, climate, and irrigation system sensors to evaluate water consumption, water needs, irrigation efficiency, and crop sustainability.

You will plan agronomic data collection campaigns and participate in the design and execution of pilot and demonstration trials on farms, working side by side with farmers, cooperatives, and irrigation communities to translate their needs into technical solutions.

You will have the opportunity to prepare and follow up on regional, national, and European projects, coordinating tasks with project partners and participating in technical meetings and field visits, contributing directly to the transfer of innovation to the agri-food sector.
