The role
At Penguin Random House Grupo Editorial, we are looking for a person to join the Design Department of our Young Adult Division in Barcelona. You will be part of a creative team and will collaborate cross-functionally with the Editorial and Marketing departments to give visual shape to our books.
What you'll do
As part of the team, you will be in charge of cover design as well as book interior layout and design. You will also assume Art Direction for projects, the management of external collaborators, and the preparation of Final Art for printing. Additionally, you will participate in interdisciplinary meetings with the Editorial and Marketing departments.
Requirements
We are looking for a person with a degree in Graphic Design or similar and a minimum of 2 years of experience performing similar functions; experience in the publishing and illustration sectors will be valued. A high proficiency in the Adobe environment (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator) and a good level of spoken and written English are necessary. Notions of illustration and lettering will be valued.
