We are looking for a Mechanical Designer to expand one of our teams in Celrà.

As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for the design and development of mechanical solutions, with a specialized focus on automated lines and coating processes. Your work will be fundamental to the conceptualization, detailed design, and supervision of project implementation, ensuring the optimization and efficiency of the systems.

• 3D Design and Modeling: You will use SolidEdge to create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings for mechanical components, structures, and complex systems. This includes the design of parts for automated production lines.
• Calculations and Simulations: You will perform necessary engineering calculations (strength of materials, stresses, etc.) and, if necessary, simulations to validate the behavior of designs under different operating conditions.
• Technical Documentation: You will prepare and maintain complete technical documentation, including manufacturing drawings, bills of materials (BOM), technical specifications, and assembly and operation manuals.
• Interdepartmental Collaboration: You will work in close collaboration with other departments such as production, quality, purchasing, and maintenance to ensure that designs meet all requirements and specifications.
• Technical Support: You will provide technical support during the manufacturing, assembly, and commissioning phases of the designed facilities and equipment.
• Continuous Improvement: You will identify opportunities for improvement in existing designs and propose innovative solutions to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve system reliability.
• Adaptation to New Technologies: You will stay up to date on the latest trends and technologies in mechanical design, automation, and coating processes for their possible implementation.

• Academic Background: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or similar.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 2 years of demonstrable experience in Mechanical Designer roles, with special emphasis on the design of automated lines and/or coating systems.
• Design Software: Advanced proficiency in SolidEdge.
• Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of mechanical design, strength of materials, manufacturing processes (machining, welding, folding, etc.), and industrial automation principles.
• Personal Skills: Proactivity, communication and teamwork skills, and a strong orientation toward results.
