Requirements

What we're looking for

Mechanical Engineering or equivalent training.
Minimum of 5 years of experience leading industrial mechanical projects.
Experience in mechanical design and development of industrial machinery.
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
Capacity for technical communication with clients and stakeholders.
Self-sufficient, results-oriented profile with strong problem-solving skills.
Leadership, planning, and decision-making skills.

Nice to have

Experience in the pharmaceutical, nuclear, industrial automation, or special machinery sectors.
Knowledge of project management methodologies.
Experience in regulated environments (GMP, GAMP, FDA, etc.).
Knowledge of CAD and/or PLM tools.
High level of English.
PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certifications.

The role

At BETWEEN we are looking for a Senior Mechanical Project Leader to join one of our main clients in the industrial machinery sector, located in Mataró.

You will work leading mechanical engineering projects from start to finish, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring compliance with quality, cost, and deadline objectives. We are looking for a person with a solid technical foundation in mechanical engineering, leadership capacity, and experience managing complex industrial projects.

What you'll do

Lead mechanical projects from the conceptual phase to commissioning and final delivery.
Coordinate engineering, production, and quality teams, as well as external suppliers.
Manage project planning, milestone tracking, deadlines, and risks.
Act as the technical interlocutor with the client, participating in follow-up meetings and the definition of solutions.
Validate mechanical solutions and guarantee their technical viability.
Coordinate design, manufacturing, assembly, and testing reviews.
Drive incident resolution and decision-making throughout the entire project life cycle.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety, and applicable regulations.
Prepare periodic reports on project evolution and status.
