PCB Components and Libraries Technician – Altium

We are looking for an Electronic Components Technician to join a cross-functional project providing support to various engineering areas.

The role will focus primarily on creating and maintaining electronic component libraries and databases, ensuring that all technical information used in projects is complete, consistent, and reliable. #LI-LR1

What will you do?

• You will analyze datasheets and technical documentation for electronic components.
• You will complete and update electrical information in the component database.
• You will create, review, and maintain symbols and footprints for PCB designs.
• You will verify consistency between datasheets, symbols, footprints, and electronic schematics.
• You will resolve technical inquiries related to component characteristics and usage.
• You will contact manufacturers and suppliers to request or verify technical information.
• You will provide support for post-purchase component-related activities.
• You will collaborate with different teams to maintain common standards and ensure library quality.
• You will provide occasional support in PCB routing and circuit simulation activities.

• Education in electronics, electronic maintenance, mechatronics, or similar fields.
• Experience working with electronic components, libraries, or technical databases.
• Ability to interpret datasheets, schematic captures, and electronic documentation.
• Knowledge of creating symbols and footprints.
• Proficiency with Altium.
• Knowledge of PCB routing.
• Knowledge of electronic simulation using LTspice, Proteus, KiCad, or similar tools.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage technical information in an organized manner.

• Experience maintaining ECAD libraries or component databases.
• Experience verifying symbols, footprints, and electrical characteristics.
• Technical communication with manufacturers or suppliers.
• Knowledge of electronic circuit design, simulation, or validation.
• Experience working cross-functionally with different engineering departments.
