About the role
Our client is a leading international manufacturing company operating within the food production industry and part of a large multinational group with a strong global presence. Committed to operational excellence, innovation and sustainability, the company has developed a structured Manufacturing Leadership Program to identify and develop the next generation of Plant Managers across Spain and Portugal.
This is a unique opportunity for ambitious engineering professionals looking to accelerate their careers through a fully paid 12-month development program, combining hands-on experience in manufacturing plants with exposure to corporate Supply Chain and Operations projects before taking on the responsibility of leading a production facility.
As a participant in the Plant Manager Development Program, you will join a fully paid, structured 12-month development program designed to prepare you for your first Plant Manager position. Throughout the program, you will gain first-hand experience across manufacturing operations, production, maintenance, logistics and supply chain while working alongside experienced Plant Managers and Operations leaders.
The program includes:
A fully remunerated 12-month development program, of which:
- 6 months of hands-on training in one of the company's manufacturing plants in Spain or Portugal.
- 6 months based at the Operations headquarters in Madrid, participating in cross-functional Supply Chain and Operational Excellence projects.
Continuous mentoring from experienced Plant Managers and senior Operations leaders.
Upon successful completion of the program, you will assume your first Plant Manager position.
What you'll do
Develop a deep understanding of manufacturing operations across the company's production network.
Learn and progressively assume responsibility for plant operations.
Lead operational teams and develop your leadership capabilities through real manufacturing challenges.
Drive operational efficiency, productivity and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate closely with Production, Maintenance, Logistics, Supply Chain and other support functions.
Contribute to achieving operational excellence while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.
Prepare to successfully lead a manufacturing facility upon completion of the program.

Requirements
Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical or similar).
At least 2 years of experience in a leadership position.
At least 3 years of experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.
English proficiency at B2 level or above.
EU passport.
Full willingness to relocate to any province across Spain or Portugal during the program and future assignments.
Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
A proactive mindset, accountability and a passion for manufacturing and continuous improvement.
