About the role

We are looking for a Category Manager focused on the Pet Food category to join the headquarters of a major retail group currently in a phase of expansion and multichannel consolidation.

The selected candidate will be responsible for defining and driving the commercial strategy for the category (dry food, wet food, and veterinary diets), optimizing assortment, pricing, profitability, and customer experience across both the physical store network and the e-commerce platform.

What you'll do

Category Strategy and Management:

Definition of the Pet Food category strategy (assortment, pricing policies, and planograms) adapted to customer needs and focused on P&L growth in both retail and digital channels.

Planning and implementation of commercial dynamism: launching new products, reviewing prices, and designing strategic promotions.

Negotiation and Supplier Relations:

Negotiation and follow-up of commercial agreements with national and international suppliers to maximize margins and terms.

Active collaboration with the Private Label department to identify opportunities and launch exclusive products.

KPIs and Performance Analysis:

Monitoring and analytical follow-up of key category indicators: sales, customer acquisition, commercial margins, turnover, and stock levels.

Cross-Departmental Coordination:

Working closely with the Demand Planning / Supply Chain team to ensure demand forecasting and product availability.

Coordination with Logistics to monitor the supply chain and ensure delivery compliance.

Constant synergy with the Visual Merchandising and Digital/E-commerce teams to ensure proper implementation in physical stores and the online channel.
