What we're looking for

What are we looking for?

- University degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Organization Engineering or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of experience in operations management, production or process improvement in an industrial environment, with responsibility for results and teams.
- Mastery of Lean methodologies: Kaizen, 5S, A3, Kanban, SMED and Visual Management.
- Handling of production KPIs and project management tools (Jira, Asana or similar).
- English level B2 or higher (technical reading and interaction with international suppliers).
- Analytical, data-driven profile : ability to read a production process, detect the real problem —not the symptom— and structure solutions.
- Influential leadership: ability to mobilize technical teams and supervisors without needing formal authority.
- A genuine Lean mindset : going to the gemba, making the problem visible and understanding that the role of a leader is to serve the team.

The role

Your Mission

Design and pilot the production operational planning and management system, ensuring that at all times there is a reliable master plan, that resources (people, machines, materials) are correctly sized against demand, and that Shift Responsibles can execute the shift with clear standards, visible metrics, and continuous improvement capability. This role is the bridge between the company's strategy and daily execution on the plant floor.

What you'll do

What will your day-to-day look like?

Planning:

-Master Production Schedule: Develop and maintain the master plan alongside the Plant Manager (weekly, monthly, and looking 12 months ahead), integrating forecasted demand, available capacity, and the real operational constraints of each area (Mechanics, Bodywork, Final Line, Cleaning, Photography).
-S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning): Coordinate with Sales to forecast vehicle inflow and translate it into production capacity needs, anticipating bottlenecks well in advance.
-Capacity vs. Demand Planning: Correctly size human resources (shifts, overtime, temporary agencies) and machinery against the forecasted load, avoiding both saturation and underutilization.
-Production Backlog Management: Prioritize the vehicle pool based on delivery promises, age, profitability, and technical constraints, maintaining the target lead time defined by the company.
-Maintenance Planning: Coordinate scheduled shutdowns with Maintenance, minimizing the impact on throughput and anticipating the effect on the master plan.
-Improvement Project Roadmap: Develop project timelines (Kaizen, A3, investments) with milestones, assigned resources, and success KPIs, ensuring execution on time and with the intended impact.

Operational responsibilities:
- Define, document, and update the standard operating procedures (SOP) for all production areas.
- Lead continuous improvement projects (Kaizen, A3, 5S) by identifying bottlenecks and eliminating waste.
- Lead a team of more than 170 people with 3 direct reports.
- Supervise production KPIs (throughput, lead time, defect rate, OEE) and implement corrective actions in the face of deviations.
- Manage the operating budget and monitor actual vs. planned spending.
- Develop the capabilities of the Shift Responsibles through coaching, training, and structured feedback.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, HR, and IT to guarantee the continuity of the value stream.
- Lead the implementation of visual management on the plant floor (obeya, Kanban, andon).
- Participate in gemba walks with the Plant Manager to identify problems at the source and propose data-driven solutions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, hygiene, and the company's code of ethics.

How you'll work

  • Permanent contract in a company in full growth.
  • Location: Madrid Villaverde.
  • Salary Range: 45-55k
  • Dynamic work environment, with operational autonomy and real decision-making from day one
  • Young, multidisciplinary team with a culture of transparency and data.
