Production Planning Manager, Factory Management

We are looking for someone with experience in industrial environments, the ability to lead teams, and a clear focus on planning, meeting deadlines, and continuous improvement.

Essential requirements

• Previous experience managing production teams or factory staff.
• Experience in production planning, scheduling, and monitoring.
• Between 3 and 5 years of experience in production, operations, or industrial management.
• Ability to organize people, materials, workloads, and priorities.
• Proficiency in planning and management tools such as ERP, MRP, and Excel.
• Analytical, organized profile focused on meeting deadlines and achieving results.
• Ability to work on-site in Jaén and the surrounding area.

The following will be especially valued

• Technical education: Vocational Training, Engineering, Degree in Industrial Organization, Mechanical Engineering, or similar.
• Knowledge of industrial processes and manufacturing systems.
• Ability to interpret drawings and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of technical design or CAD tools.
• Training or experience in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, TPM, and continuous improvement.
• Experience implementing procedures, indicators, and production standards.

Your mission

Your main objective will be to ensure the factory produces in an orderly, efficient, and predictable manner, meeting commitments made to customers and optimizing available resources.

To do so, you will turn the order book into an executable production plan, coordinate the different areas involved, and lead the plant team to achieve operations based on method, autonomy, and continuous improvement.

You will act as the link between commercial needs and the factory's real production capacity.

Main responsibilities

Planning and production

• Turning the order book into realistic daily and weekly production plans.
• Scheduling and sequencing the workload of the different lines according to priorities, delivery dates, product type, and material availability.
• Providing the Commercial department with reliable, up-to-date delivery deadlines.
• Coordinating with Purchasing and Warehouse to ensure the availability of raw materials.
• Identifying and reducing bottlenecks, downtime, and unnecessary changeovers.
• Monitoring the daily production plan and reacting quickly to deviations, incidents, or unforeseen events.
• Analyzing the plant's production capacity and proposing improvements to increase its efficiency.

Manufacturing quality

• Ensuring the quality of manufactured and shipped products.
• Making sure no order leaves the factory without meeting technical specifications, design drawings, or customer requirements.
• Establishing controls and inspections prior to shipment.
• Recording and analyzing quality incidents.
• Identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Promoting a culture of quality and responsibility across the entire production team.

Team leadership and development

• Organizing shifts, workloads, and task assignments.
• Coordinating, supervising, and supporting the factory team.
• Evaluating performance and identifying training needs.
• Designing and implementing training plans and skills matrices.
• Encouraging team versatility so that critical processes do not depend on a single person.
• Defining protocols, standards, and work procedures.
• Ensuring compliance with established rules and working methods.
• Promoting an environment of responsibility, autonomy, collaboration, and results orientation.

Organization and maintenance of the plant

• Maintaining order, cleanliness, and proper organization of the factory using 5S methodology.
• Reviewing and optimizing the layout and internal material flows.
• Implementing autonomous maintenance practices and TPM methodology.
• Promoting daily basic cleaning, inspection, and checking of machines.
• Ensuring preventive maintenance is carried out.
• Coordinating external technical services to reduce line downtime.
• Organizing raw material and finished goods stock.
• Ensuring proper location, identification, control, and rotation of materials.
• Preventing stock breakages, unnecessary accumulation, and excess inventory.
• Supervising the receipt of external materials, verifying quantities, quality, and correspondence with orders.
• Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and proper use of personal protective equipment.

Monitoring and reporting of KPIs

• Preparing and reporting the main production KPIs to Management.
• Monitoring delivery delays, pending orders, incidents, productivity, and service levels.
• Analyzing deviations and proposing corrective measures.
• Providing reliable information to support Management decision-making.
