Production Planning Supervisor

Ensure the correct functioning of the Planning department through the coordination and supervision of the team, guaranteeing the rigorous and punctual execution of daily production planning activities. The position will participate directly in operational planning activities and will be responsible for developing medium and long-term scenarios, analyzing production and capacity alternatives, and presenting recommendations that facilitate decision-making.

• Supervision and coordination of the department
  • Organize, distribute, and prioritize the daily activities of the Planning team, ensuring that the department has clear priorities, information, and criteria to execute its tasks
  • Supervise compliance with the department's plans, deadlines, and deliverables, reviewing the quality and consistency of the work performed.
  • Coordinate activity coverage in the event of absences, changes in priority, or increases in workload.
  • Establish routines for monitoring incidents, constraints, deviations, and pending actions.
  • Develop work procedures and standards, promoting multi-skilling and the technical development of the team.

  • Act as an escalation point for incidents that cannot be resolved within normal operations.

• Medium and long-term planning
  • Develop medium and long-term production plans based on forecasted demand, raw material availability, backlog, commercial priorities, and available resources.
  • Generate alternative scenarios to anticipate risks and support decision-making.
  • Analyze the relationship between demand, load, and capacity by resource, area, or period.
  • Identify potential bottlenecks, overloads, low utilization periods, or additional capacity needs in advance.
  • Evaluate alternatives such as sequence changes, route modifications, load reallocation, use of alternative resources, or calendar adaptation.
  • Analyze the effect of each scenario on delivery dates, capacity, inventory, load, and plan stability.
  • Document the hypotheses, risks, and dependencies of each scenario.
  • Prepare proposals that include alternatives, impacts, and recommendations to ensure compliance with project execution and company objectives.
  • Monitor decisions made and update scenarios when conditions change.
• Processes, tools and continuous improvement
  • Define and maintain indicators to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the department
  • Standardize the processes of planning, order creation, route generation, scenario generation and any others associated with the department.
  • Propose possible improvements, facilitating decision-making through analysis and technical support. Improvements in everything related to the production system (times, reduction of defects, product quality...).
  • Collaborate in continuous improvement initiatives and in systems or process projects with an impact on the company

  • Encourage the department's participation in the company's continuous improvement processes and initiatives

• Comply with and enforce the company's standards and rules on Ethics, Quality, EH&S and environment matters
  • Drive, coordinate and control that all actions carried out in your area of responsibility follow the guidelines established by Management in matters of Ethics, Quality, EH&S and Environment.
  • Integrate Ethics, Quality, EH&S and Environment aspects into work meetings and the operating procedures of your area of responsibility, participate in the investigation of incidents that occur and carry out follow-up and control of the improvement actions to be implemented.
  • Ensure compliance with procedures and instructions by the workers under your supervision, making sure they are carried out under appropriate Ethics, Quality, EH&S and Environment conditions.
  • Plan the work in your area of responsibility, informing workers of the risks they are exposed to. Ensure they have the appropriate training and information to carry out the assigned tasks.
