Mission: Starting from the requirements plan, develop the production plan and the scheduling for the different production sections to define the product delivery dates to the central warehouse, ensuring quality and delivery deadlines. Likewise, perform the control of the efficient execution of operations in all sections of the Production Area.
Functions:
1. Starting from the requirements plan, define the production plan adjusted to the plant capacity of the different sections.
- Monitor and manage the available capacity each month and the workload in each of the sections to keep them balanced. Visualize needs vs. annual production plan.
- Supervise and control the scheduling of the different sections of the production area, optimizing existing resources, and performing the necessary readjustments by anticipating possible technical problems or unforeseen events.
- Analyze and reconcile deviations and redefine scenarios.
- Control and optimize work in progress (WIP) to reduce response times without increasing production costs. Daily monitoring (WIP).
- Provide the product availability dates for each of the references and guarantee their fulfillment.
- Analyze possible non-compliances and propose improvement plans so that they do not recur.
- Implement concrete action plans that guarantee process improvement.
2. Control the correct execution of the production scheduling by the different sections of the operations area.
- Monitor the quantities manufactured and the scraps in each of the sections and perform follow-up on the detected deviations.
- Control execution times and analyze deviations against the theoretical lead times of each of the references.
- Control operating costs and deviations from the defined standard costs and propose improvements together with the production department to minimize said deviations.
- Define the main KPIs and perform continuous analysis.
- Plan the Scheduling, adjusting the number of pieces to be manufactured per reference, allowing the assigned minutes to match the available capacities in each section while making it compatible with demand.
- Analyze, plan, manage, and follow up on the demand for accessories.
- Propose the necessary changes of models and/or people to balance production before the launch of the Scheduling in order to guarantee service.
- Perform the forecast of molds to be used, and inform the Molds Section.
- Perform reports regarding the consumption of materials (markings, colors, painting pastes, flower petals, etc.) that will be consumed in each program.
- Perform reports on the optimal stock of pieces in the manufacturing process that each section must have so that delivery deadlines to the next section are met, and the status of urgent models.
- Launch the scheduling, creating the work orders that contain information about the quantity of models of each reference to be manufactured daily and the time required for it at a section level.
- Supervise the start of the Program, performing follow-up of the work orders of the various production lines/sections, and in a detailed manner, the initial launch of novelties and Limited Series models, to detect possible deviations (failure to meet deadlines, exceeding the series maximum, etc.) and take corrective actions ensuring compliance with the program and informing Production Management.
- Assign new models to a manufacturing line once scheduling has started, analyzing the workload capacity of the lines, the complexity of the models, and the manufacturing minutes, informing Production Management.
- Perform and transmit monthly reports of the % of rejects by model to the Quality Dept.
- Readjust the validated scheduling, proposing changes of models and/or people to Production Management to balance production due to the introduction of novelties, urgent orders, backorders, increased absenteeism, etc.
- Calculate the workload in the retouching, varnishing, final assembly, and packaging sections to adapt the manufacturing capacity to the workload, proposing changes of personnel.
- Control the entry of pieces into the warehouse, verifying that the line assignment is correct and making the pertinent changes if any error is detected.
- Keep SAP Program information updated;
o pieces assigned by line.
