Aeronautical Manufacturing and Tooling Engineer

Minimum requirements to perform the position:

• Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or similar, or technical training with relevant experience in industrial manufacturing.
• Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Ability to interpret drawings, technical documentation, and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of mechanical design and CAD tools, preferably CATIA V5.
• Knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes, metallic materials, and treatments.
• Familiarity with technical regulations and quality procedures.

We value

• Previous experience in the aeronautical sector and knowledge of its regulations. Proficiency in model management systems and technical documentation, such as EPD or similar.
• Basic knowledge of structural calculation and electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of metrology: manual calipers, coordinate measuring machines, and laser measurement equipment.
• Experience in cost and deadline estimation and planning.
• Knowledge of risk analysis methodologies, such as FMEA.
• English level that allows working with technical documentation and communicating in an international environment.

We are currently selecting two Aeronautical Manufacturing Engineering profiles, one of them specializing in tooling.

Both profiles will be responsible for reviewing technical documentation, design, and manufacturing processes of components developed by suppliers, to verify that they comply with technical requirements, regulations, and applicable quality procedures before delivery to the customer. The functions are as follows:

• Review designs, drawings, models, and technical documentation of aeronautical components manufactured by suppliers.
• Verify that designs and manufacturing processes comply with customer regulations and applicable standards.
• Analyze mechanical manufacturing processes, including machining operations.
• Review materials, treatments, and metrology and dimensional control requirements.
• Check quality documentation and identify deviations or aspects requiring correction.
• Coordinate with suppliers and technical teams regarding the resolution and follow-up of incidents.
• Participate in risk analysis using methodologies such as FMEA or similar.
• Review cost and deadline estimates and planning.
• For the profile specialized in tooling, review the design and manufacturing of tools, as well as their suitability for process requirements.
