What you'll do

The main duties are:

  • Collaborate in defining the strategy for the assigned categories in the short and medium term together with the buyers under your supervision and the distribution operations, seeking the most suitable products for the Commercial Strategy of the distributions and optimizing the number of Group suppliers. 
  • Prepare and lead negotiations with suppliers, seeking sustainable growth in sales figures, margins, and economies of scale, pursuing the best purchasing conditions and promotional offers, and monitoring the competition to ensure excellent price positioning. 
  • Manage and update the Supplier Database. 
  • Build a supplier panel by Category.
  • Search for new suppliers according to business needs or the organization's Strategy.
  • Prepare promotional plans for the categories under your responsibility together with the Business team.
  • Analyze the results of your category in terms of sales, distribution, and margins, as well as monitor the proposed promotional actions.
  • Promote continuous improvement of operations, ensuring the implementation of strategies and continuous improvement processes in your operation and the launch of appropriate action plans.
  • Manage all ERP/document management associated with purchasing.
  • Communication and collaboration with the Marketing, Business Development, DEF, Operations, and Business Departments. 
  • Cross-functional collaboration with other areas of the Group for the development of new products and the approval of alternatives.

Requirements

  • University degree
  • 5 years of experience in a similar position
  • Additional training in Purchasing, Negotiation, and Supply Chain is valued  

Skills

  • Organized and detail-oriented person.
  • Availability to travel nationwide.
  • Ability to work in a team and manage internal clients.
  • Proactivity and autonomy
  • Good command of office tools (Excel is essential)
