Data Migration Technician

What are the skills and experience we are looking for?

Sector experience: Minimum of 2 years in technological profile positions, preferably in Level 2 Technical Support, Implementation Consulting, or Data Analysis areas.

-Specific technical experience:

• Demonstrable experience in handling relational databases and executing complex queries in SQL (SELECT, JOINs, subqueries).

• Track record in data manipulation and cleaning using advanced Excel (pivot tables and lookup/logic formulas).

• Valuable previous experience in data migration projects or ETL (Extraction, Transformation, and Loading) processes.

-Project management: Experience working under methodologies that require compliance with strict deadlines and process documentation.

-Higher Degree (FP II) in Web Application Development (DAW) or Systems Administration (ASIR), or University Degree in Computer Science/Engineering.

Salary: €30,000-35,000 gross per year depending on the candidate's experience

As a DATA MIGRATION TECHNICIAN, your mission will be to lead the technical migration and data optimization through SQL to guarantee information integrity and business operational continuity.

-Technical management of data transfer: Lead the execution of information movements between systems, ensuring technical compatibility.

-Quality control and integrity assurance: Guarantee that the migrated information is consistent, valid, and of high quality in the destination system.

-Interdepartmental support and coordination: Act as a technical liaison with other teams for conflict resolution and process adjustments.

-Traceability management and reporting: Ensure that the entire process is duly documented and communicated to stakeholders.

-Technical execution: Use native importers and SQL tools to perform data loading between systems.

-Data validation: Verify manually or through scripts the integrity of the information once transferred.

-Incident resolution: Identify and correct technical errors that arise during migration phases in collaboration with other technicians.

-Operational documentation: Record each stage of the migration process in detail to maintain a history of changes.

-Report preparation: Generate progress reports and final results to facilitate visibility for stakeholders.
