Backend Developer .net

As a BACKEND DEVELOPER, your mission will be to maintain, optimize, and modernize the foundation of our current code to ensure its performance and stability; and on the other hand, to design and build the new generation of flowww features and services. A large part of the backend consists of Classic ASP (VBScript) and VB.NET libraries, with the goal of progressively migrating to .NET Core and microservices.

You will actively participate in strategic projects such as migrating legacy modules, developing new APIs for our mobile applications and integrations, and the overall optimization of the architecture to scale the product.

-Ensure the stability of the current business logic written in Legacy (VBScript/VB.NET) environments.

-Actively participate in the migration of modules toward the new generation of services in .NET Core.

-Legacy Maintenance and Evolution: Analyze and debug code in Classic ASP and VBScript (including logic migrated from VB6).

-DLL Management: Maintain the centralized logic in DLLs written in VB.NET that handle most requests.

-New Generation Development: Design and develop microservices and RESTful APIs using .NET Core and C#.

-Data Management: Query optimization and modeling in MySQL.

-Quality and Documentation: Perform Pull Requests, implement unit tests, and document migration processes.

-Refactor VBScript/VB.NET modules to facilitate their portability to modern systems.

-Code new endpoints in .NET Core for marketing personalization and payment gateways.

-Diagnose bottlenecks in legacy code and propose pragmatic solutions.

-Collaborate with Frontend to define API contracts that connect the legacy world with the modern one.

What skills and experience are we looking for?
 

-Degree in Computer Engineering, Multiplatform/Web Application Development (DAW/DAM), or related qualifications.

-At least 3 years of experience as a .NET Developer, having worked on the development and maintenance of complex applications.

Mastery of Visual Basic: Must feel comfortable working with the Visual Basic ecosystem in any of its variants: VBScript, VB6, and VB.NET

Web Ecosystem: Demonstrable experience in Classic ASP.

Modern Technology: Mastery of .NET Core / .NET 8+ for new developments.

Databases: Advanced experience in MySQL.

Version Control: Git.

Strong analytical skills to break down complex problems.

Comfort and ability to work with both modern technologies and legacy systems.

Commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and testable code.

Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively and transparently.

Initiative to propose improvements and the ability to work independently when necessary.

-Native Spanish or C2 level.

-English B1/B2 valued.

What is our proposal for you?

Salary: 30-35K depending on the candidate's experience.

EUR 35,000 per year

Hybrid work model: Some days in the office and others from home. The best combination!

Our offices are in Madrid Centro (Metro Bilbao area).

Your working day will be 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Como BACKEND DEVELOPER tu misión será mantener, optimizar y modernizar la base de nuestro código actual para garantizar su rendimiento y estabilidad; por otro, diseñar y construir la nueva generación de funcionalidades y servicios de flowww. Gran parte del backend se compone del ASP Clásico (VBScript) y librerías VB.NET con misión a la migración progresiva a .NET Core y microservicios.

-Desarrollo de Nueva Generación: Diseñar y desarrollar microservicios y APIs RESTful utilizando .NET Core y C#.

-Gestión de Datos: Optimización de consultas y modelado en MySQL.

-Calidad y Documentación: Realizar Pull Requests, implementar pruebas unitarias y documentar procesos de migración.

-Refactorizar módulos de VBScript/VB.NET para facilitar su portabilidad a sistemas modernos.

-Codificar nuevos endpoints en .NET Core para personalización de marketing y pasarelas de pago.

-Diagnosticar cuellos de botella en código antiguo y proponer soluciones pragmáticas.

¿Cuáles son las skills y experiencia que buscamos?
 

-Grado en Ingeniería Informática, Desarrollo de Aplicaciones Multiplataforma/Web (DAW/DAM), o titulaciones afines.

-Mínimo 3 años de experiencia como .NET Developer, habiendo trabajado en el desarrollo y mantenimiento de aplicaciones complejas.

Dominio de Visual Basic: Debe sentirse cómodo trabajando con el ecosistema de Visual Basic en cualquiera de sus variantes: VBScript, VB6 y VB.NET

Ecosistema Web: Experiencia demostrable en Classic ASP (ASP Clásico).

Tecnología Moderna: Dominio de .NET Core / .NET 8+ para nuevos desarrollos.

Bases de Datos: Experiencia avanzada en MySQL.

Control de Versiones: Git.

Gran capacidad analítica para descomponer problemas complejos.

Comodidad y habilidad para trabajar tanto con tecnologías modernas como con sistemas legacy.
