Senior Procurement Technician

• Degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Engineering, or similar.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain departments, preferably in industrial or food environments.
• Demonstrable experience in supplier negotiation and contract management.
• Knowledge of raw material approval processes and supplier quality management.
• Advanced use of Excel and management tools (ERP/CRM); experience with data analysis tools is valued.
• Leadership ability, strategic vision and results orientation.
• Advanced negotiation skills and the ability to manage relationships at a management level.
• High level of English (a second language is valued).

At Fritz&Muller, we are working for a leading Food company looking to incorporate a Senior Purchasing Technician / Senior Buyer, with the ability to autonomously lead the purchasing strategy for one or several categories, manage strategic supplier relationships, and provide business vision to the department.

The selected person will lead the management of purchasing and procurement for their category, with responsibility for strategic negotiation, supplier development, and cost optimization, acting as a technical reference within the team.

• Definition and execution of the purchasing strategy for the assigned category/ies, aligned with the company's objectives.
• Leadership in the selection, negotiation, and evaluation of strategic suppliers, with responsibility for the awarding of contracts and commercial conditions.
• Negotiation of prices, terms, and conditions with key suppliers, focusing on cost optimization and margin improvement.
• Supervision and development of raw material approval processes, leading the technical relationship with Quality in the definition of criteria and specifications.
• Design and implementation of contingency plans and alternative procurement to guarantee continuity of supply in the face of market risks.
• Definition of minimum and safety stock policies, in coordination with the plant, suppliers, and Management Control.
• Management and resolution of complex incidents with suppliers, acting as the main interlocutor in escalation situations.
• Preparation and review of purchasing procedures, technical data sheets, and quality requirements, ensuring their update and regulatory compliance.
• Market analysis, raw material price trends, and supplier benchmarking to anticipate risks and opportunities.
• Reporting and monitoring of purchasing KPIs (savings, lead times, service quality) to management.
• Mentoring and technical support to junior profiles within the purchasing department.
