Purchasing Technician - Food Industry

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the selected candidate will join the corporate Purchasing department (+€300M volume) and will specifically work on supplier analysis, selection, negotiation and management, as well as the optimization of purchasing and procurement processes, ensuring product availability and quality (both raw materials, packaging, auxiliary materials and services).

The functions to be performed by the selected candidate will be:

• Supplier identification and selection: Search, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers (mainly national) through visits, meetings and analysis of quotes, ensuring they meet the required quality and cost standards.
• Purchasing data analysis: Using management tools such as PowerBI and the ERP itself, analyze purchasing traceability, with a special focus on all phases of the purchasing process, in order to optimize the supply of raw materials and detect stock deviations.
• Contract management and monitoring: With a clear focus on improvement, and with the support of the department management, analyze and review contracts with suppliers (raw materials, auxiliary materials, and service contracts), monitoring expirations and evaluating renewal or search for new options.
• Supplier evaluation and improvement negotiation: Analyze supplier performance and negotiate service quality improvements.
• Incident management: Carry out the monitoring and resolution of internal and external incidents to maintain continuity of supply.
• Attention to internal and external customers: Respond to the needs of other departments and customers, coordinating purchases according to the company's requirements.
• Purchase of auxiliary material: Carry out the purchase of auxiliary materials (packaging, etc.) and supervise their registration, monitoring and control, ensuring continuous supply for production.
• Interdepartmental collaboration: Participate in planning meetings with other departments to anticipate and cover strategic purchasing needs.
• Compliance with management systems: Apply and ensure compliance with Quality, H&S and other management systems, within the scope of purchasing.
• Preparation of reports and analysis: Analyze purchasing data and generate reports that support strategic decision-making.
• Transmission of company values: Act in line with the company's values, promoting a culture of integrity and efficiency in every action.

The selected candidate must meet the following requirements:

• Education in Engineering, Business Administration, or similar.
• Solid knowledge of purchasing management and supplier negotiation.
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate with different departments.
• Proficiency in computer tools and purchasing management systems.
• Analytical skills and a focus on process optimization.
