The role

We are looking to bring on board a Quality and Environment Manager on site, within the Quality and Environment area of the company's infrastructure division. The project involves the execution of the tunnel installations (6.5 km) and 5 stations, as part of the works for the extension of Line 11 of the Madrid Metro.

What you'll do

  • Quality Management Plan: Preparation and monitoring of the project's Quality Management Plan.
  • Inspection Plan: Preparation and monitoring of the project's Inspection Plan.
  • On-Site Inspection and Control: Inspection, supervision, and quality control of ongoing and completed works, to verify the correct installation of the various systems and infrastructures, in accordance with the Quality Plan and approved procedures.
  • Environmental Control: Supervising daily compliance with the measures of the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS); control of noise, vibrations, dust, and protection of the environment in tunnels and stations.
  • Waste Management: Controlling the correct segregation, storage, and removal of waste generated by the installation of systems (cabling, construction and demolition waste, traction oils, etc.), managing the corresponding transfer documents.
  • Supervision of Tests and Trials: Participating in inspections, factory tests, and on-site trials of critical equipment, recording and validating the technical results.
  • Reports: Preparing weekly and monthly follow-up reports on Quality and the Environment.
  • Non-Conformance Management: Detecting deviations or defects in the execution of installations, recording Non-Conformances, and following up on corrective actions until their closure.

Requirements

What we're looking for

  • Experience: Minimum of two years of construction experience as a Quality or Environmental Technician or holding the position of Quality or Environmental Manager.
  • Academic Background: Degree in Engineering (Higher or Technical) or in Environmental Sciences.
  • Health and Safety Training: Basic H&S course (60 hours) or 2nd Cycle course (20 hours) for site managers and execution technicians.
  • Driving License: B1
  • Mobility: Residing in Madrid
