Process Engineer (Industrial / Automotive Sector)

What requirements must you meet?

• At least 3 years of experience in highly demanding industrial or automotive environments, also acting as the direct point of contact with the client.
• Accustomed to working under the KPI paradigm and aligned quality standards.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, preferably Industrial Organization.
• Proficiency in the IT tools inherent to the position.
• Knowledge and experience in Lean tools and continuous improvement: 5S, VSM, Lean Manufacturing...
• Aptitude and proactivity in front-line problem solving.

• A Master's in Industrial Organization is desirable.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Process Engineer to join our Engineering team at our Martorell plant (logistics plant with nearly 500 employees, working 3 shifts, being the main logistics provider for the Martorell automotive factory).

Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager at the industrial plant, you will be responsible for optimizing operational processes in plant logistics, ensuring value delivery to both internal and external customers.

Increased workload driven by the high production volumes of our automotive client, as well as the start of the electrification process that we, as the benchmark logistics provider at the plant, must take on.

What will your duties be?

Operational Engineering Planning

• Participate in estimating the resources required for industrial plant activities, as well as in defining the different milestones to optimize processes.
• Ensure operational processes are carried out in an optimal manner in terms of time, quality, and form.
• Participate in optimal communication between the client and plant operations.

Continuous Improvement and Quality

• Implement operational improvements to maximize resource efficiency and optimize the centers' bottom line.
• Work in accordance with VDA standards (Volkswagen Group) regarding Continuous Improvement processes.
• Collaborate with external and internal clients in defining new processes and analyzing potential issues in the Department's quality indicators.
• Analyze the operation and effectiveness of operational processes for new client projects, with the aim of designing improvements in productivity, quality, efficiency, and/or performance.

Indicators and Documentation

• Ensure strict compliance with the indicators set by the client in terms of process quality, service level, and client collaboration.
• Analyze the aforementioned KPIs with the aim of optimizing processes and resources.
• Prepare the necessary documentation to present proposals to internal and external clients.
• Prepare proposals for tasks not included in the tender specifications, calculating the cost of the necessary resources, upon client request or due to internal operational needs.

• Working hours: approx. 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM.
