Pastry Trainee (Internship)

• Currently enrolled in a Pastry Arts, Bakery, Culinary Arts, Gastronomy, or related program.

Pastry Trainee - Grand Hyatt Barcelona

As a Pastry Trainee, you will complement your academic studies with practical experience while supporting the Pastry team in the preparation and presentation of high-quality products for the hotel's restaurants, events, banquets, and in-room dining operations. You will have the opportunity to learn professional pastry techniques, food safety standards, and production processes within a large-scale luxury hotel kitchen.

• Support the preparation, production, and presentation of pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, and other baked goods.
• Follow recipes, procedures, and quality standards established by the Pastry department.
• Assist in the daily production for restaurants, banquets, events, and other hotel outlets.
• Help prepare ingredients and organize mise en place for service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in accordance with hygiene and food safety standards.
• Assist with the proper storage and handling of ingredients and finished products.
• Learn and apply pastry decoration and presentation techniques.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
• Participate in departmental trainings, briefings, and learning activities.
