Our company

We are the largest Spanish airline and a leader between Europe and Latin America; we belong to the IAG group and are part of the oneworld alliance. • Drafting of technical specifications.

• Selection of the appropriate suppliers.

• Follow-up meetings.

• Development and implementation of alternative tooling to the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) tools.

• Health and Safety (H&S) risk analysis.

• Control and management of the technical office's work in progress (WIP), assignment of service purchase requests, and prioritization of needs.

• Support to the office in the management of high-impact projects. Main point of contact with other involved departments (IAG, Infrastructure, Health and Safety, etc.).

• Monitoring of production (routine and repair) in weekly meetings.

• Monitoring the development of new tooling for repair engineering and focal point with in-house tooling company services in-house.

• Budget control for projects under the BFBBC and GTF-Repair investment accounts.

• Support for the closure of the quality plan and management of alternative tooling.

• Quality audit actions related to the technical office.

• Development of standard work instructions and procedures for the department.

• Knowledge of the state of the art of the machinery used and required in all areas of the Iberia Engine Workshop to guarantee the best service to the internal customer:

  • Best available suppliers.

  • Best maintenance processes.

  • Best technologies.

• Attendance at trade fairs and conferences on relevant technologies.

• Audit and visit contractors and competitors to identify reference machines and processes (benchmarking).

• Redacción de especificaciones técnicas.

• Selección de los proveedores adecuados.

• Reuniones de seguimiento.

• Desarrollo e implementación de utillaje alternativo a las herramientas originales del fabricante (OEM).

• Análisis de riesgos de Seguridad y Salud (H&S).

• Control y gestión del trabajo en curso (WIP) de la oficina técnica, asignación de solicitudes de compra de servicios y priorización de necesidades.

• Apoyo a la oficina en la gestión de proyectos de alto impacto. Punto de contacto principal con otros departamentos involucrados (IAG, Infraestructuras, Seguridad y Salud, etc.).

• Seguimiento de la producción (rutina y reparación) en reuniones semanales.

• Monitorización del desarrollo de nuevo utillaje para ingeniería de reparación y punto focal con los servicios de empresas de utillaje in-house.

• Control presupuestario para proyectos bajo las cuentas de inversión BFBBC y GTF-Repair.

• Apoyo al cierre del plan de calidad y gestión de utillaje alternativo.

• Acciones de auditoría de calidad relacionadas con la oficina técnica.

• Desarrollo de instrucciones de trabajo estándar y procedimientos operativos para el departamento.

• Conocimiento del estado del arte de la maquinaria utilizada y requerida en todas las áreas del Taller de Motores de Iberia para garantizar el mejor servicio al cliente interno:

  • Mejores proveedores disponibles.

  • Mejores procesos de mantenimiento.

  • Mejores tecnologías.

• Asistencia a ferias y congresos sobre tecnologías relevantes.

• Auditar y visitar a contratistas y competidores para identificar máquinas y procesos de referencia (benchmarking).
