Job description

Our company

We are the largest Spanish airline and leader between Europe and Latin America; we belong to the IAG airline group and are part of the oneworld alliance. Our goal is to always be the best travel option for our customers and to make them feel that what matters most to us is their safety and the quality and experience of their journey. In addition to the airline, we also have aircraft maintenance as a complementary business.

At Iberia, we value that our professionals are an example of behaviors for customers, but also within the team. We expect all new hires to be an example of these.

Your role:

As a Real Estate Project Manager specialized in Building and Architecture, your main mission will be to lead the development of building projects in Iberia, ensuring that design, architecture, the functional program, implementation, user experience, and constructability are aligned with the real estate strategy, business needs, and cost, schedule, and quality objectives.

You will be the internal reference for building, architecture, and design for projects in the Real Estate area, including corporate projects, industrial facilities, developments, third-party buildings, and future phases of the new Iberia Campus. We are looking for a Project Manager with an architectural background capable of governing design from Iberia, coordinating consultants, and transforming business needs into viable, operable real estate assets consistent with the company's vision.

Your challenges:

Lead corporate and strategic building projects

  • Coordinate the development of the new Iberia Corporate Campus and other associated building projects.
  • Ensure control of program, design, schedule, cost, quality, risks, permits, procurement, construction, fit-out, commissioning, and handover.
  • Manage investment

Govern design and the functional program from Iberia

  • Consolidate and monitor the functional program of corporate projects.
  • Ensure that architecture, layout, workplace, user experience, sustainability, accessibility, landscaping, and cost decisions respond to Iberia's interests.
  • Coordinate architects, consultants, engineering firms, PMOs, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure clear and traceable decision-making.

Act as the cross-functional reference for architecture and building

  • Provide design support, urban integration, program, facades, massing, circulations, accessibility, wayfinding, landscaping, user experience, and constructability for the rest of Iberia's projects.
  • Provide architectural and building expertise in industrial projects such as hangars, workshops, developments, future buildings, and third-party buildings.
  • Ensure consistency across projects, the Master Plan, campus identity, and future business needs.

Ensure that buildings are born operable and adapted to their life cycle

  • Coordinate solutions with Facility Management, Workplace, IT, Security, HR, Communications, Training, Foundation, Operations, and end users.
  • Ensure that projects consider maintenance, operation, flexibility, efficiency, sustainability, and user experience from early stages.
  • Prepare decisions and escalations clearly to facilitate project progress.

Your knowledge:

  • University degree in Architecture, Building Engineering, Technical Architecture, or similar.
  • Advanced English, preferably C1 level or equivalent, for interaction with international suppliers, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
  • Minimum proven experience of 8 years in building project management, architecture, real estate development, corporate buildings, campuses, fit-out, complex buildings, or industrial environments.
  • Project management experience: program, design, permits, procurement, cost, risks, changes, construction, commissioning, and handover.
  • Knowledge of building regulations, permits, critical review of drawings, layouts, reports, functional programs, architectural design, and architecture-engineering coordination.
  • Knowledge of planning tools, reporting, executive presentations, briefs, risk management, change control, BIM, and project documentation.
  • Executive communication skills, internal client vision, architectural and operational sensitivity, rigor, organization, cross-functional coordination, risk anticipation, and solution orientation.

Valuable requirements:

  • Training in Project Management, PMP, or similar.
  • Training in Real Estate, cost control, workplace, sustainability, BIM, or asset management.
  • Experience in corporate, industrial, logistics, airport, campus, operating asset environments, or technically complex projects.

Talent at Iberia:

We value that our professionals are an example of behaviors for customers, but also within the team. We expect all new hires to be an example of these.

  • We are one and diverse: You work in a coordinated, open, and collaborative manner pursuing a common goal in a diverse and inclusive environment.
  • We put soul and passion: You make things happen by fully committing to everything you do.
  • We reinvent tomorrow: You look for new and different ideas to solve problems.
  • We connect with our customers and colleagues: You always want to go a step further than expected with a smile and a pleasant manner.
  • We make it simple and efficient: We focus on what's important, analyzing situations and eliminating what doesn't add value.
  • We carry safety in our DNA: We work with the attention and care of the first day: in every ground operation, in every flight. We know the processes and apply them rigorously.
