The role

At Kimpton Vividora Barcelona, we believe in hospitality with personality: warm, spontaneous and sophisticated, where every interaction creates a genuine connection. Our Assistant Food & Beverage Manager turns this philosophy into memorable experiences while maintaining the operational excellence that defines a luxury hotel.

As the right hand of the F&B Manager, you'll drive the daily operations of Fauna, Terraza de Vivi, GOT, In-Room Dining (IRD) and Catering & Banquets. You'll lead from the floor alongside the supervisors, ensuring service timing, presentation, attention to detail and the efficient resolution of any issues. You'll anticipate needs, ensure every service is properly prepared and maintain our spaces, equipment and back-of-house areas in excellent condition.

You'll combine an active presence on the floor and behind the bar with rigorous management of processes, people and resources, including handovers, inventories, cash handling, schedules, timekeeping, holidays and seasonal teams. Your mission is to inspire a truly Kimpton style of service: natural and flexible, without compromising consistency or brand standards.

What you'll do

· Supervising service across all outlets: breakfast, lunch, dinner, bar, terrace, room service and events.

· Maintaining an active presence on the floor and behind the bar during peak periods, including weekends and public holidays.

· Ensuring Kimpton/IHG standards and a personalized, warm and consistent guest experience.

· Ensuring the cleanliness, organization, presentation and condition of spaces and equipment before, during and after each service; immediately correcting any deviations.

· Resolving issues and complaints with sound judgement, empathy and efficiency, ensuring proper follow-up.

· Working closely with Kitchen, Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance and Events to deliver a seamless experience.

· Conducting operational walkthroughs and ensuring briefings and handovers are carried out and recorded.

· Preparing staff schedules together with the F&B Manager, aligning them with occupancy, events and demand forecasts.

· Monitoring clock-ins, overtime, compensatory hours, absences and lateness, ensuring accurate records in the HR system.

· Planning and managing holidays, days off, leave requests and sick leave, with joint approval from the F&B Manager and ensuring adequate staffing coverage.

· Coordinating the needs and administration of seasonal and winter staff, including onboarding, offboarding and shift organization.

· Promoting team meetings, continuous feedback and performance reviews, fostering a positive culture and continuous improvement.

· Addressing conflicts and collaborating with the F&B Manager and Human Resources on the appropriate disciplinary measures.

· Supporting purchasing activities and supervising goods reception, inventories and waste control.

· Verifying daily sales closures and cash reconciliations in MICROS.

· Collaborating with the F&B Manager on forecasts, monthly closings and performance analysis.

· Ensuring the implementation of HACCP, food safety, allergen management and occupational health and safety regulations.

· Ensuring compliance with licences and regulations applicable to alcohol service.

· Supervising the condition and maintenance of F&B facilities, coordinating any issues with Maintenance.

· Actively participating in internal and brand audits.

· Supporting the operational planning and execution of catering, banquets and activations, from staff allocation to final service.

How you'll work

· Full-time position with availability to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.
