The role

Company Description

We are a company made of a driven group of professionals with a common passion for the environment who combine youth, excellence, and experience in some of the top institutions in the sector. Our mission is to find smarter solutions to solve the climate challenge and allow us to change the way we produce energy and radically minimize the impact we have on the environment.

Despite the recent creation of the company in 2017, our technology is the result of more than 20 years of experience in the offshore renewable energy sector. Carlos Casanovas started working on the concept in 2012 while studying at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). In 2017, together with Alex Raventos, both co-founders filed the patent and incorporated the company. Since then, we have been advancing fast in the technology development and have raised private investment as well obtained prizes, funding, and recognition from leading such as Innoenergy, H2020 program, EIC Accelerator, CDTI, ENISA, or ACCIO.

The company is very proud of having attracted top talent from diverse backgrounds. Our team is composed of accomplished professionals in the fields of wind energy, mechanical, electrical, structural, aeronautical and naval engineering, strategy and business advisory. We have studied in leading institutions such as the MIT, Singularity University, Imperial College London or INSEAD as well as worked in top companies and research centers in the wind and offshore energy sector.

Position

About the role

Join a dynamic and multidisciplinary engineering team working on the development of one of the most innovative floating platform technologies in the market. Whether you are assigned to the Naval, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering team, you will play an active role in turning groundbreaking concepts into real, buildable designs. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a disruptive project at the intersection of advanced engineering, renewable energy, and offshore innovation.

Responsibilities

As part of the engineering team, you will support the design and development of various structures, components and systems of our floating platform. While your primary focus will be on 3D CAD modeling and technical drawings, you will also collaborate across teams and projects, gaining exposure to a wide range of engineering challenges.

Main tasks

  • Creation and update of 3D models for different parts of the floating platform.
  • Perform structural calculation according to classification rules to establish compliance with ultimate strength and fatigue requirements.
  • Preparation and revision of engineering drawings, including general arrangements and detailed part drawings.
  • Generation of bills of materials (BoMs) and supporting documentation.
  • Development of assembly drawings and instructions to assist in both land-based and offshore platform operations.
  • Collaboration with the broader engineering team to gather design inputs and contribute to interface reviews.
  • Participation in cross-functional tasks and support activities throughout the engineering development cycle.
