System Administrator (VMware & Linux)

• Previous experience in systems administration, infrastructure support, or similar technical roles in corporate environments. (Mandatory)
• Practical knowledge in the operation of VMware virtualization platforms, including management of virtual machines, resources, incidents, and basic maintenance tasks. (Mandatory)
• Solid experience or knowledge in Linux systems administration, preferably CentOS, Rocky Linux, Red Hat, or equivalent distributions. (Mandatory)
• Experience working with operating procedures, technical documentation, incident resolution, and support for infrastructure services. (Desirable)
• Operation and administration of VMware environments: management of virtual machines, resources, snapshots, templates, basic monitoring, and incident support. (Mandatory)
• Linux systems administration: management of users, services, permissions, storage, logs, updates, basic scripting, and troubleshooting. (Mandatory)
• General knowledge of networks, storage, backup, monitoring, and security applied to virtualized systems and infrastructures. (Mandatory)
• Ability to follow procedures, document changes, collaborate with other technical teams, and escalate incidents when necessary. (Mandatory)
• Knowledge of automation through scripting, Ansible, or other configuration management tools. (Desirable)
• Proactivity, attention to detail, service orientation, and analytical capacity to resolve incidents in an orderly manner. (Mandatory)
• Clear communication, teamwork, and willingness to learn and evolve technically within the Infrastructure area. (Desirable)

SKILLS THAT ARE A PLUS

• Knowledge of identity management, corporate directories, LDAP, Microsoft Entra ID, or authentication integration with internal services.
• Knowledge of communications and networking: DNS, addressing, load balancers, firewalls, or connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments.
• Experience with monitoring, backup, inventory, capacity planning, or operational management tools for infrastructures.

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Systems, or equivalent technical training.
• Certifications related to VMware, Linux, cloud, cybersecurity, identities, or networks. (Desirable)

• Fluent Spanish. (Mandatory)
• Medium-high level of technical English, especially for documentation, support with vendors, and collaboration in international environments. (Desirable)

As a System Administrator, you will be part of the team that maintains and evolves the infrastructure platforms that support Lynx's services. These will be some of the key activities in your day-to-day:

• Operate and maintain VMware environments, providing support for the management of virtual machines, resources, incidents, changes, and planned maintenance tasks.
• Administer Linux systems, performing configuration, update, service review, log analysis, incident support, and technical documentation tasks.
• Collaborate on infrastructure improvement, automation, monitoring, backup, service continuity, and operational optimization projects.
• Support the application of security best practices, access management, communications, and operation of hybrid platforms, working in a coordinated manner with other technical teams.

We are looking for a System Administrator to join the Infrastructure team in Madrid. The selected person will participate in the operation, maintenance, and improvement of Lynx's technological infrastructure, with a special focus on VMware virtualization environments and Linux systems. The role combines daily administration tasks, support for critical platforms, technical documentation, and collaboration in initiatives for system evolution, automation, and security.
