The role
AI Engineer - Agentic AI Expert
We are looking for a Senior Agentic AI Lead to design, build, and deploy multi-agent systems to define the future of Verti towards becoming an agentic company. You will work transversally with the company's multidisciplinary, Data, and IT teams, as well as with the agent product owners.
This is a hybrid role within the Data & IA team to work in multidisciplinary teams using agile methodologies: 80% technical role for the construction of agents, use cases, and cross-capabilities (architecture, code, and evaluation) and 20% leadership (standards, business, and governance). You will be the internal reference for agentic AI.
What you'll do
- Define, design, and implement the main agentic use cases for insurance underwriting, technical management, and customer services.
- Define, develop, and evolve the cross-capabilities of multi-agent systems: architecture, orchestration, specialized agents, shared data bus, memory, and tools.
- Design the ontological layer that provides agents with a common semantic model of business entities, permitted actions, and regulatory guardrails.
- Establish evaluation standards: quality metrics, offline and online testing, red teaming, and observability of agent traces.
- Define human-in-the-loop and scaling patterns, calibrating the level of autonomy for each agent according to risk.
- Integrate agents with the insurer's core systems and the data platform, and design the ontological layer of data necessary for agent consumption.
- Deploy agents in containerized environments.
- Document best practices and generate the working methodology.
- Operation, monitoring, maintenance, and governance of agents.
- Capacity for innovation when researching new technologies.
- Be the internal reference in agentic AI: define standards, best practices, and training for the data tribes.
- Coordinate with MAPFRE Group AI initiatives and the corporate data and agent platform.
- Define the governance and architecture of agents within Verti.
