What we're looking for

These internships cover different technological areas; we have gathered a set of knowledge that could fit into one of them. Don't worry if you don't have them all, each internship has a different focus:

Students of undergraduate/master's degrees in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Mathematics, or related fields.
English: B2 level.
Technical knowledge we value:
- Development and programming:
  - Java, Python, NodeJS, JavaScript
  - Frameworks: Spring Boot, Angular, .NET (MVC)
  - HTML, CSS
  - Ansible, Scripting, and use of APIs.
- Databases: SQL (PostgreSQL, Oracle and/or MongoDB)
- Support tools: Office 365, Visual Studio / Visual Studio Code, Jira and/or Confluence.
- Version control: Git, GitHub, Bitbucket.
- Architecture and deployment:
  - Microservices with AWS Lambda
  - Containers and Kubernetes
  - Serverless architectures (AWS, Azure)
  - CI/CD with Jenkins.
  - Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
- Systems: Linux/Unix

What you'll do

During your internship in the Corporate Technology Area you will immerse yourself in projects within multidisciplinary teams that are in full motion: new developments, integrations, deployments... with a technological stack that constantly evolves in an international environment. It will be your space to learn, propose, and experiment. This is what awaits you at Mapfre in your day-to-day:

You will provide support in the collection and analysis of requirements.
You will participate in the development of technological assets such as components, scripts, automations, dashboards, or prototypes, working with current technologies (APIs, containers, IaC, pipelines... depending on the area).
You will collaborate in deployments by participating in configurations and integrations in different environments. You will see how the team's work goes "from local to real." Additionally, you will provide support in the resolution of incidents and maintenance tasks of systems.
You will provide support during technical presentations to communicate findings and progress to colleagues and stakeholders.
You will document clearly and precisely processes, facilitating the traceability of the actions performed in the projects in which you participate.

As the final objective of the internship, you will have the opportunity to carry out an application project for a technological challenge that adds value to the area.

How you'll work

Format: On-site.
Location: Las Tablas, Madrid.
Duration: Minimum of 6 months, with the possibility of extending the period for 6 more months.
Study Grant: 600/800 gross euros per month, depending on the schedule modality.
Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 15:00 / 9:00 to 14:00 (5 or 7 hours per day).
